- Gardening is good for all of us; as individuals, families, communities and global citizens. Sophie contends that so many of our problems can be eased or even solved with what plants, soil, wildlife, beauty and the state of nature connection can bring to our lives.

Sophie is totally wild about gardening. She is a respected writer and icon of in the Australian gardening community, presenting for the ABC television’s Gardening Australia and writing for the Australian Gardening Magazine. A horticulturalist and naturopath, Sophie’s enthusiasm and passion for plants inspires people of all ages.
As a tireless advocate for sustainable gardening practices, Sophie encourages people to enjoy growing organic food, cooking from the home garden and creating backyards where kids can play, swapping ‘screen time for green time’.

In the UK now we have a hospital who has it's own allotments that it prescribes for patients. Also there is a doctor in Wales who has stopped prescribing anti depressants and now prescribes gardening. Not only has this reduced the cost to the health service it has shown marked improvements in patient health.
