same here. i thought he'd be a disaster but the man seems born to the job. Maybe he operates better without the day to day distractions of being a club manager. lets him concentrate solely on players and tactics. Whatever happens now, he's given the job of England coach it's pride back.
the womble the interesting thing is he failed for boro as manager. But hes been there as a player, understands the problems of fear of failure, has removed them and got us playing. Hes also managed at u21 level internationally. He just gets it. This approach is the way ahead, not no marks like hodgson and allerdyce.
It certainly looks that way. The FA have got this England DNA theory whereby there's a continuing thread from age group teams right up to senior level. That way the lads who make the senior team already know what it's like to represent england in tournaments and bond together etc. Lingard, Rashfod, alli etc have all been down this road at junior level and you can tell they have no fear of the shirt or the occasion. If we don't win it this time, i now believe we will win it or the euro's in my lifetime. Great innit?
Amazing, I'm from Belgium and visited Wembley Stadium last Friday, seeing the statue of Bobby Moore outside, and also the statue of Alfred Ramsey in the hall giving access to the field. I saw my team (Belgium) win against Brasil that evening. What a great atmosphere there was in England over the weekend, we even had to put our Belgian flag away as we were driving through London on Saturday. I hope for Belgium as a world champion, but in case we lose against France the next match, I will be cheering for England in the final.
