Hi mate, what does your after beach clean look like? One reason I don't go much is the clean up after and the paranoia about rust starting underneath or in hard to reach places.

      Hi mate
A simple wash the car and spray underneath with the garden hose just to wash any salt/sand off. You can put the spray into the chassis rails at the rear and flush out those as well. As long as you do this once the car has cooled down you won’t have any issues 👍

Look at a product called chasis shield. Give everything a blast with that underneath and then its just a simple hose down after each beach run

@@perth4b4adventures thanks mate - not sure if a hose with water removes all the salt deposits though according to the marketing from companies like chassis guard etc.

@SteveC-Aus yeah they will tell you that so you buy there product. You can also use lanolin spray to coat the everything now and then. If you wash straight away you won’t have any issues but if you leave it for a day or so then it would be more difficult to remove. At the end of the day any area where you go off road has its environment impact on your vehicle. Mud destroys brakes, alternators and electrical components. Salt including coastal sand can enhance corrosion. Maintaining your vehicle and choosing where to go and what you do is probably the best preventative maintenance.

yep bash your vehicles because you wont drop your tyre pressures to suit the conditions and tear up the track for others even in soft sand i can do that with pressures and gearing and not tear the track

Maybe you should pay attention to the videos champ. I quite clearly filmed us lowering our tyre pressures to 15-16psi which is standard beach pressures. Also Lancelin is a registered offroad area, that’s what it is for and by the time the wind settles down each night you can’t even see a tyre track in the dunes. Keyboard warriors like you aren’t welcome champ, go watch another channel!
