Matthew 7:13-23 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. @@yoshi_wrld4892 the Bible have been altered 30,000 times beginning with Roman Emperor Constantine and Scholars have discovered discrepancies in this book from Genesis to the new testament. Jesus himself tells us to not take the bible literally it is inaccurate
Not sure who this is for, but here is some great insights from this passage in Matthew 7:21-23: LORD, LORD This portion of the Sermon on the Mount is the climax of the sermon where Jesus is driving home the point of how important it is to be known by God and by Him. First, we look at the significance of the name/title of someone being mentioned two times. Some have said that this is simply to get the attention of the person but I believe it is way more significant than that. I believe the mentioning of the name twice is to express a sense of close personal intimacy toward someone whether the other knows the speaker or not. We see this used throughout the Old and New Testaments. We see this when Abraham is about to sacrifice his son Isaac, “Abraham, Abraham” (Genesis 22:11). When Israel (Jacob) was in his old age and moving to Egypt by invitation of his son Joseph, God calls, “Jacob, Jacob” (Genesis 46:2). When Moses followed the sheep and saw the burning bush, “Moses, Moses” (Exodus 3:4). When God called Samuel’s name twice, “Samuel, Samuel (1 Samuel 3:10) We also see this in the New Testament: When Martha was preparing the dinner when Jesus was visiting, “Martha, Martha (Luke 10:41). Or after the Lord’s supper when Peter stated that he would not betray the Lord, Jesus says to him, “Simon, Simon” (Luke 22:31). When Jesus was on the cross about to commit His spirit to the Father, “My God, My God” (Mark 15:34). When Saul was given documents and orders to take the persecution of the church to Damascus, “Saul, Saul” (Acts 9:4) Or when Jesus was in Jerusalem delivering His woe’s to the religious elite, “Jerusalem, Jerusalem” (Matthew 23:37; Luke 13:34). We can obviously see here when we dig into these passages that there is a closeness and intimacy that each of these people have with God. God knew them before they ever knew Him. But here in Matthew 7:21-23 we see the ones who are saying “Lord, Lord” are the professors, not God. They profess with their mouths that they know Him, but He states that He does not know them. They honor Him with their lips but their hearts are far from Him (Isaiah 29:13; Matthew 15:8). This leads us to ask a very important question, and that question is not do you know Jesus?” No, the question is, “does Jesus know you?” In all of the passages where names are mentioned twice above, the person speaking is always God/Jesus. It is an expression of them knowing the person. But in this passage, Jesus says, “...I do not know you” while they claim to know Him. Furthermore, these people saying, “Lord, Lord” are empty of what it means to possess true faith and therefore true salvation. The first words out of their mouth after addressing the Lord is all their own accomplishments that they did in the name of the Lord. But is that how someone is accepted and saved? No, we are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves or our works lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-10). These people who call Jesus Lord, who believe they are saved, who go to church and preach the word of God actually believe that their works are what saves them, but nothing can be further from the truth. We are not saved by works but for works (Ephesians 2:10; 1 Timothy 5:10; 1 Timothy 6:18). Martin Luther said, “We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone” meaning those who possess true faith will demonstrate that they have true faith by what they do but what they do is not what earns them a saving relationship with God. These individuals in verse 22 are actually just boasting in what they are doing (although what they were doing was in Jesus’ name), and were using our Lord’s name more or less as an accessory for their own purposes, again going back to the fact that they claimed to know Jesus, but Jesus says “I do not know you.” I love what R.C. Sproul says about this passage in one of his sermons. He says it is not enough to profess faith, but to possess faith. Profession is of the mouth while possession is of the heart. Profession is not necessarily a bad thing as we are to profess and confess Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9) but Romans 10:9 also says “...and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead...” this is possession of faith that is rooted deep in our very being. The one claiming to know Jesus and list off all of their accomplishments in His name are no different than the Pharisee in Luke 18; they trusted in themselves that they were righteous. Luke 18:9-14 NASB [9] And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt: [10] "Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. [11] The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: 'God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. [12] I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.' [13] But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner!' [14] I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."
That makes a lot of sense. Paul also said he rejoiced when people preached the Gospel for selfish reasons, because at least the Gospel was preached. Same thing here.
I always say Matthew 7:21-23 are the scariest scriptures in the Bible . imagine thinking you have a first class ticket to Heaven get to the gate and find out if they’re departing without you….no record of you on the flight.. that is enough for a real examination of ourselves

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.” 2 Corinthians 5:10-11 KJV
Notice how he says that we say “Lord, Lord” meaning we prayed to him. Yet still didn’t understand the gravity of being fully OBEDIENT to him and his word!
Chk your heart, your intentions, humility, and ask who you need to forgive and must love everyone- no love, not HIS, no forgiveness, not HIS- for your glory, not HIS Full of Love, Grace, Mercy, Reverance, Forgiveness and do it all for GOD's glory alone= you love HIM back for loving you so much, 👍
Probably the most terrifying part of scripture. That many of whom claim Christ, will not enter the Kingdom. It does change the motivation and heart of any ministry pursued.
Yeah that scripture hits hard. When I read it, I was completely thrown for a loop. What is mentioned, are all the good qualities we use to see God's chosen people. To think he could say "I never knew you" to them, what about you? Looks like being a prophet or miracle worker doesn't mean you know Jesus. Just means he's allowed you to use his power to bring in others.
To finish off that scripture, Jesus said "depart from me you who work iniquity" It's because those people continually live in their habitual sin I believe that is the reason why
@@ricky320912 so wouldn’t you by definition still be in habitual sin? my point is that Jesus said “depart from me you who work iniquity” because those people we justifying themselves by their works. The only way to be justified before God is by believing in Jesus’s finished work on the cross, and trusting in his righteousness. we are all sinners, whether it’s “habitual” or not doesn’t matter, sin is sin, if you break one law you’re guilty of all. that’s why we need the blood of Jesus which covers our sins. if you are in Christ, you are not a worker of iniquity, you are justified, washed, sanctified, holy, and blameless because of Jesus.
@@ricky320912 after you’re saved you SHOULD do good works, because these are profitable to men (Titus) and to please God. Sin will always bring consequences, you reap what you sow. but God chastises those he loves. In the letter to the Corinthians, Paul rebuked and exhorted the Corinthians for the gross sins they we tolerating. but they were still considered brethren and as babes in Christ. Sin won’t be completely done away with until we have our glorified, incorruptible bodies.
The scariest words known to mankind are NOT "I'm from the government and I'm here to help" but rather Jesus' saying "Depart from me for I never knew you" ... 😔😔😔
@kiana4803 the law is still in effect, it's only God's grace and mercy with our repentance that we are not condemned. Christs blood covers us from the law. Does not mean the law is gone. It is still very much a part of his governance of the universe.
St. Dismas who was one of the two thieves crucified with Jesus was a sinner and broke the law. Despite that fact he got saved in his last hours. Only thing he did right was being humble before Jesus beliving in Him and asking for forgiveness. Our Lord's words included in this video teaches us to always be humble before him and other people. If you are kind to others do it because he teaches that's how it always should be and not just for yourself pridefully thinking it will gain you God's favour. Jesus loves you but always stay humble as he was before Father. Beliving in Christ is not a competiton so whatever kindness you bring and whatever miracle you're part of never think it makes you better than other people. We're all sinners and every sinner who humbled himself and returned to father counts.
Roman's 10:9 (KJV) That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
It was to Romans. In these times they were executed for confessing Jesus! Our Lord's words included in this video teaches us to always be humble before him and other people. If you are kind to others do it because he teaches that's how it always should be and not just for yourself pridefully thinking it will gain you God's favour. Don't be too stressed about it He loves you but always stay humble as he was before Father. Beliving in Christ is not a competiton :)
Question Mathew 21-22 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Answer John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
I think because I too have thought gravely of this... That many times it's not the workers praying but the "recievers Faith" that caused it to happen. When a sinner says scripture does it "negate God's Word"???? No. It's still that word.
St. Dismas who was one of the two thieves crucified with Jesus was a sinner and broke the law. Despite that fact he got saved in his last hours. The real reason is that for the most part Christians forsake God's sabbath and replace that with man's commandment that is to say Sunday. It's time we get right with God people before Jesus says to you "in vain do you worship me teaching as doctrines the commandments of man"
This isn't a relationship you can connect and disconnected. It is a relationship of you were dead man But now you are alive (have life) A new being. , the rest is about obedience or disobedience to the Lord, the result is consequential just because you are a believer doesn't mean you are immune from the consequences of sin which you act up on UNLESS you ask for forgiveness and repent of your ways
They go about to establish their own righteousness instead of SUBMITTING to the righteousness of God. Live by the apostles doctrine till the end and you will be saved
Being a Christian is stressful. You never know if you are being godly enough to be good with God. Think about it: You can do God's work, and he still says depart from me. That's scary and unsettling.
If i get it right it teaches us to always be humble before him and other people. If you are kind to others do it because he teaches that's how it always should be and not just for yourself pridefully thinking it will gain you God's favour. Don't be too stressed about it He loves you but always stay humble as he was before Father. :)
How you think they're able to labor? The gifts they have come from God. Also warning comes before destruction. So as they're working for God, God is constantly warning them to turn from their wicked ways. Some people just don't listen.

Gen 3:22-24 22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Who is the liar in this story?
"I never KNEW you." There are many earthly Christians who have never met Jesus a day in their life and expect to inherit Heaven, another nation's promises, and place at The Bride's spot at the table. Notice how they boast about their works, instead of saying, "But Lord, I praised your name, I love you with all my heart, I'll do anything to be in your presence for another second." There are many who only want the fish and loaves; their god is their stomach. There are many who only want Heaven; they are thieves and robbers. But then there are those who only want The One who made heaven, Who gave the fish and loaves. There are those Who desire Jesus and nothing else. Their hearts will be cleansed, and they will see their Lord, and they will receive their reward. Who is this about? Him or you? and who's kingdom are you building: His or yours?
Sobering indeed. God took us pretty seriously when He sent His Son. We should take Him seriously, too.

Im no..i have to be a permanent worker for God and Jesus amen 🙏
Jesus' words have a much deeper meaning than what they are saying.
Notice how he says that we say “Lord, Lord” meaning we prayed to him.
Yet still didn’t understand the gravity of being fully OBEDIENT to him and his word!
Chk your heart, your intentions, humility, and ask who you need to forgive and must love everyone- no love, not HIS, no forgiveness, not HIS- for your glory, not HIS
Full of Love, Grace, Mercy, Reverance, Forgiveness and do it all for GOD's glory alone= you love HIM back for loving you so much, 👍
John 3:16 / John 6:28,29. Believing is receiving
They were LAWLESS, Satan is called the LAWLESS ONE, and he still deceives people to DISOBEY.
Jesus 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Romans 12. A living sacrifice! everything else is half stepping.
Deep!!
To finish off that scripture, Jesus said "depart from me you who work iniquity"
It's because those people continually live in their habitual sin
I believe that is the reason why
do you not sin anymore
Whatever question you ask doesnt change the scripture
And yes I still sin
@@kiana4803 so we can sin freely after coming to faith in Jesus?
Amen 🙏❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
God bless you
PLEASSSSSSSSSSSE PRAY FOR ME
I’ll pray for you right now, please do the same for me.
Amazing Truth! Praise the Lord!
On Wings Of An Eagle djwunministries. 🌹
Too good.
Pleased post with the link???
Amen!!
Wow bro 🔥🔥
To be a worker of iniquity is to be a law breaker of the 10 commandments. Jesus said also if you love Me, keep my commandments.
we’re not UNDER THE LAW, we are under grace. we are ALL lawbreakers
Is there a longer version of this???
Question Mathew 21-22
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Answer John 6:40
And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
I think because I too have thought gravely of this...
That many times it's not the workers praying but the "recievers Faith" that caused it to happen. When a sinner says scripture does it "negate God's Word"????
No. It's still that word.

Wow..😮
Its possible to be highly involved in a church, etc. and still be dead in sins and trespasses, still working iniquity.
SHEESH.
Amen
God said his people should not fear anything or anyone God included
Actually God said to fear him.
@@timmacleod1944 actually your understanding of God are filtered through Religion and man made dogma and they're wrong.
Can we start posting link to video 🙏
How does one go about establishing genuine connection and instructing others to establish genuine connection
I pity these folks. May they be freed from this religious enslavement.
Only an evil person would use someone’s labor and not allow them some compensation.
How you think they're able to labor? The gifts they have come from God. Also warning comes before destruction. So as they're working for God, God is constantly warning them to turn from their wicked ways. Some people just don't listen.

Who’s the liar I kept it kJV for u
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen 3:3-7
3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Gen 3:22-24
22And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Who is the liar in this story?
@@mookiesmith18 how is he warning them?
@bugsythetwin3022 There's many ways God warns people of their sin. There's no one way.
@@mookiesmith18 one example
I want to throw my phone...It shouldn't be this hard
