Linus dropped stuff two times before the 1 minute mark
That's probably a record
Its on purpose at this point.
"Linus the Destroyer"
If his dropping of items was looked up on by RUclips the same way as cussing by other creators it would be a 18+ restricted and/or de monetized.
@@chloefletcher9612 Linus the dropper
You don't know this but Linus does something called CPU juggling to practice dropping stuff.

Hey Linus - at least you can't break it when you drop it, because it's built like a...a tank.
Thank you, I'm here all week. 😁

Don't forget to Linus Tech Tip you bartender.
If it gets hot in the tank you open the hatch and vents. Proven concept
Bambeakz is sus he suggest vent
Just drink more water. Works like magic, until the driver passes out that is...
Sure wish the 113’s were that good. Most sweaty I’ve ever been in my life was in the back hatch of a 113
Gotta be careful not to get a drone drop something into it
@@risingstar1309 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
At first, I was like "who is that well groomed person that resembles Linus... then he drops something and I was like "ah, there he is". 😂
1:45:57 As someone that owns one of the Lian-Li train cases (the very limited edition version that not only moves, but also blows steam -- I think only 80 exist), I can't even express how much of a hassle that case has been to work on and keep maintained for over a decade. It's definitely been worth it though, it brings a lot of joy to people that have seen it and who else can say they have a personal computer that has traveled many miles under its own power while in use?
Legendary
don't say decade... 2012 doesn't feel that far away :/
We're going to need some pictures dude. Give us links
for those wonderin: the plug to the pink laptop got disconnected at 18:10, you can hear it fall to the ground and Linus even reacts to it but doesn't notice its the powerplug to the laptop.
you'll also notice that before taht moment the powerbrick already moved from underneath that corner of the table to the other side of where Linus is standing. (first it was to his left when facing the case, and than to hsi right while still facing the case)
This reminds me of the valentines box that looks like a cardboard tank I made in second grade (the paper towel roll was the turret) sure, I didn’t get any valentines, but I had a sick tank!
Wtf I would of given you and your sick tank a valentine
How did you get no cards? Don’t girls like tanks and explosions or smth (idk I’ve never talked to one)?
@@BloonMan137 That’s just a theory… A GaMe ThEoRy!
I'd have taken the sick tank over cards any day of the week 🤣 the sick tank is for life 😅
It was an uneven coat of green all over the box with brown splotches on its sides it was beautiful
Btw technically I got cards but they were not personal just the mandatory ones (says Happy Valentines name:_______) so technically I didn’t get a REAL valentines
Sysadmin that has followed the channel for years here - what Linus is talking about around 15:00 minutes in is very true.
I use this channel to keep a pulse on what's happening in the tech world beyond the walls of corporate IT.
Same.
Same.
Yeah it's kinda asinine that businesses would assume the consumer audience most obsessed with high performance tech wouldn't include sone serious decision makers, but oh well...
Yeah, I work at a very well known big technology company but have very little time to look at anything related to consumer electronics, which is why I still watch LTT even after I grew up and got into this field professionally working on software a massive proportion of those reading this and the LMG staff would be using. I have definitely recommended enterprise software products that we are now using as a result of my recommendation after I learned about it on youtube.
Linus been watching you for well over a decade (the mineral oil pc is how i found you lol) you are a great sport always concerned about the community even though we often put you through stuff like this. we make you into memes and wait for the next thing to be dropped :P but know we appreciate you, the whole team and everything you guys do. Your videos are always entertaining thanks for everything :)
the truly amazing thing about this is when linus types in his xbox pass - he tells the camera man to look away and he looks at the monitor for the overhead camera that is pointing straight at the keyboard he is typing on. amazing.
I would like to point out that Andy does look away and then zooms in on a camera monitor screen at 2:09:36 when Linus is typing his password in. LOL
Tank good, that why. And I agree with how hard it can be. Trying to learn more and altho the shape can be funky, this help me learn a bit about my own PC too so thank you guys.
I am, and have been for years, a tech exec who purchases a lot of tech at a very large tech firm. It's cool when a vendor sponsors RUclips content.
For the 7950x3d review, would be good to bench several use case scenarios, i.e. running a demanding game, then open other apps like OBS to test the core parking.
Someone did a test: Running a game will use v-cache cores, but the cores in the other ccd are parked and not used, then launching OBS activated the parked cores so all 16 cores were used. What was not shown was the impact on FPS after the remaining parked cores was activated.
I like this timeline of Linus slowly turning into a QVC salesman/host.
".... For a LIMITED time only, YOU CAN look like a former game show host turned SALESMAN...."
QVC is a perfect one for the UK viewers as this dropped at Midnight 🤣
What's the issue actually, I don't get it
LOL OMG I remember that channel! My mum got a ton of random things from it. She even got to the point of watching for a specific host.
@@livelongandprosper70 Really $84 million?
Plouf, Dan, and Linus just made my day! We need more of this trio!
Plouffe
I'm just laughing at Dan and his giraffic cards....
Linus totally got me with the DFI UV Reactive motherboards. The ASRock LiveMixer series is pretty wild. Might be UV reactive.
Building my first custom loop rigid ofc. Bought your screwdriver for the build and the quality before even using it is amazing thank you.
Linus I challenge you to make the most Cyberpunk PC. No traditional RGB, put beep boop flashy status lights in there, I want it to look like I’m staring at a vaporwave compilation’s background video. Every useless function has a status light that blinks, somewhere.
I voted for the tank because I'm a disabled Army Vet and was hoping there would be a chance to win it, I won't lie. 😂😂😂
Canadian army?
weird as this might be to say, that look away shot while Linus was doing the password was kinda cool, the way Andy focussed on the equipment Hanging from the ceiling (another camera) a nice touch. The tools just outside of the frame need love too.
focusing on the camera that is pointing down at the keyboard he is typing on while showing the screen, lol
I still (or rather: again) use an Antec Eleven Hundred case. It's probably my favorite case ever. It's huge with XL-ATX (or was it called E-ATX?) support, diagonal hard drive bays (= space for long GPUs while *also* supporting standard HDDs), fans in the front, on the side (level with GPU), one big fan on the top and one fan on the back... and, something that's somehow still important to me: 5.25" drive bays. And it doesn't overdo it with RGB or whatever, it's just black with a clear side panel. It's a simple look and I love it.
This case actually does look pretty cool with the RGB fans
Love your content. Thanks for taking the time for a live stream Linus.
Time for LTT STore to branch out into food, we need WAN Show branded Hot Cakes.
Actually they could make a small frying pan with the WAN show logo inlaid in the bottom to produce WAN branded pancakes (Hot Cakes).
This is actually brilliant haha 😆
Also - some plastic 3D printed spacers (like the ones you get with wall stands for TVs) would be an obvious add-on for this case.
Producer Dan over there using a phantom powered XLR mic in the most incorrect way.
Would love to see that tank pc with mesh sides in the tracks for airflow instead of tempered glass
I just wanted to say thank you again to everyone who puts these together and all of the other videos. I always have such great entertainment going on in the background while I am driving around all day delivering
lol yea the one thing i really liked about my air cooled builds...
they came together soooo quickly, maybe 1 or 2 hours and some cablemanagement at the end.
now it mostly comes together in about 1-2h, then spend a day or 2 measuring cutting and bending tubes.
followed by about 1-2 hours of air based leak testing (or if the timing is right overnight).
followed then by a hour or 2 of cable managing (or last time when I made my very own 8+4 EPS cable...6 hour of messing with just a ESP cable until it's the exact right size where the cables stay consistent and don't lump anywhere.
I like how when it's time to look away from the keyboard he zooms into a tiny screen that is also showing the keyboard.
I love it when linus is forced to build rigs he doesn't want to haha... it is so much more entertaining than when he is happy
can you remove your post please? i don't like reading shit posted by people with aspergers
Oh man I have an Antek case. I remember Corsair starting to make cases, I haven't kept up in a while so it's fun to hear they are dominating the case space now.
+1 to the UV light trend, i've actually been thinking of this recently, those CCFL lights were amazing, and by the time I had money to spash on flair on my PC, it was all RGB.
I think doing a game review channel or just content in general could be great especially (to make it harder) do the game on a budget system vs a full blown monster (like you do with benchmarking) to give people a better idea of where their particular favorite game might be to try their build. Could also suggest upgrades to the budget system that may help them perform better but not just go top end and call it a day. Maybe a 2080 to like a 3070 type change info like that. Feasible vs money is no issue. Just my thoughts. Also a lot of game reviewers aren’t doing system specs either, just reviewing the game or just game play in general.
An API to access the Labs data would be the coolest thing ever.
Also, I love how at 2:09:36 and 2:16:11, the cameraman avoids showing Linus entering the password by panning up... to the ceiling camera... with a screen on it... that had a perfect shot of Linus entering the password 😂
55:59 he talks about it here. API access for more data and such.
@@mbsfaridi Yes, hence why I mentioned it. I am excited for it and wanted to highlight my excitement in case Linus ever reads the comments :D.
@@lifeinhd4053 Oh, I see. Well atleast the timestamp would be helpful to someone.
3D print a case specifically for mineral oil PC's, engineer the negatives out like the form factor not necessarily needing to be a giant tank.
It's going to be quite hard and expensive to do a watertight case that can support all that weight, it will probably require using something like carbon fiber reinforced polypropylene or something weird like that and stuff's not cheap
We do appreciate the RGB and The transparency, I enjoy the Hot takes and there is something cool about you guys just bro’ing out it gives us more of a human touch to the videos where the other videos on the platform are more professional which is very nice keeps us around but when it’s late night and you want something friendly and informative the wan show good for that
I loved the c64...I got into programming sprites in gwbasic... I started with the tape drive,...bought the disk drive then bought the monitor for it...ended up using the monitor into mid 90s in my bedroom to watch movies had great quality image. Paper runs paid for disk drive and monitor... I even made my own joystick out of wood and large bolt coming up through hole withe strips of metal that would complete the circuit up,down, right and left. It worked but really sucked in games...lol
While I love watching you build, Linus, I would honestly like to see one of the other hosts do a stream or build video.
I always love watching your content first. I'm a computer Software Engineer and watching you makes my day. These folks tend to give you trouble but I appreciate what you do.
a message for linus the stand off screws for the io can be screwed in and tighted with the end of your screw driver dont put a bit in it :)
You should see if Demolition Ranch Matt Carriker wants that tank PC
Denis has got much better at cutting hair.
andy... that pan to the overhead was priceless... both times...i hope security is something the new CEO will be taking from linus' to do list.
51:00 I’ve been building custom wiring for some 3D printer mods. I’ve been using the little arrow on “Dupont” connectors to signify pin 1/orientation, never realized it’s usually the positive in pos/neg situations.
The haircut had me doing a double take! Nice one Linus!
Wondering if a mini build would allow for more cooling space?
1:50:19 - asking "why" before joining into a project is really great!
And, you can go a step further, and ask "why did YOU specifically ... " so
in case of rejection you can still give validation to the original intent, so the initial motivation doesn't feel rejected as well.
Daniel holding a re20 with a pop filter up to his mouth is very comical.
When Linus cuts his hair, you know spring is here.
It SNOWED today.
@@jasondrummond9451 if you're from Canada, that happens in spring too.
My boy Linus has been working out. Nice gainz!
Uv reactive Motherboard and GPU with some UV lights in the case would be SICK.
How did the case manufacturer know so much about german panzer construction? It was all in the news! Got 'em!
Complete realistic tank interior. Poor ventilation and hot as all hell.
What about submerging one in oil but inside a small freezer instead for a case? Could super cool it, no moisture issue, and not in a "case" so patent troll shouldn't be a real threat also.
A freezer is still going to create frost regardless of the type of liquid, and since water and oil wont mix any water will always sink to the bottom. Plus mineral oil still freezes.
If the screws are steel, you could buy and use one of those magnetic floor sweepers. I've brought the one from the garage into my bedroom to sweep the carpet for a screw before.
Honestly I understand the challenges (or pain in the ass) with setting up a euro LTT store. But I do think that it would be worthwhile from a purely business standpoint, as there would be a huuuggge Increase in Sales. I think the ROI would be great for LTT, especially in the light of the massive spending on LABS
intresting how this case has managed to feature on GN and LTT.
The two secret ebay accounts found each other
😉
You need a second WAN Show, but with other hosts, even if you all talk about the same subjects.
The way andy looks up at the overhead camera screen when looking away LOL
Yes! Bill Nye was the greatest teacher of my youth. Everyone enjoyed when the teacher rolled out the T.V. to watch. Honestly, a lot of kids learned some valuable science fundamentals on those days.
I absolutely wanted to see a new mineral oil PC, but now I want to see the ones you mentioned in response to the merch message!
I've always wanted to build in this case. My world of tanks dream come true 😂
transparency for the win, I LOVE the inside baseball so very much
Tanks for the awesome build.
I'm really surprised that Linus hasn't installed a motherboard with a fixed peg where a standoff goes before. I've seen one of those somewhere. Yes, it is certainly odd the first time tho.
He has. He also mentioned it multiple times. Maybe it was not the typical spot?
I'm glad the tank case was chosen! All hale the T-7900 MBT! R.I.P. the mismatched fans tho ;_;
Love the builds, keep em coming!
you four have great chemistry
I would like to see a Linus Tech Tips OS aka LTT-OS. I'm certain if you guys made a Linux distribution it would be awesome. I would dare to say a LTT Gaming system with a LTT-OS maybe based off of Steam OS would be awesome.
I am 1000% down for longer WAN shows. The longer episodes have fun conversations, stories, and just plain randomness that couldn't exist on a shorter show. I miss watching TJM after the WAN show, but if we can't have TJM, I'll take longer WAN shows.
I like em too. I think they should allow themselves flexibility with the wan shows. Wouldn’t want them to totally burn themselves out trying to stretch it to four hours every time etc etc. Me, I’m totally down for long wan shows. Just shouldn’t be a rule or anything imo
Nice hair cut and trim Linus. My God bless you and your family. 😁♥
The Neon boards and RGB you were talking about sounded awesome.
For the 7950x3d test:" It was the snow!" 🤣🤣🤣🤪
(45:40-46:57) YESSSSS!! I’m 100% ALL IN on the UV reactive (aka Blacklight reactive) components!! From UV reactive cables and today being able to add watercooling components like reactive pipes, fittings and coolant to uv reactive water blocks.. it’s just BEGGING for a comeback. I’d much prefer a bright uv rig to a rainbow RGB setup!
My goodness, Snow... And it was 84°f Or um.. 29°c here today where I live in New Orleans... Sheesh... I'll trade weather with ya!
Find a way to combine one of the chillers or some ridiculous over clocking project with a mineral oil build, that would freshen it up
Love love love your haircut Linus. Makes you look so much younger. Usually his haircut just looks like a trim hut this is a proper haircut. Love it!!
I know this video is a little older. First, I also want to thank the whole LMG for producing amazing streams, videos and content to consume on RUclips! You brought me countless hours of entertainment and keep me up to date with tech, even though I haven't built a PC in years (mostly monetary issues).
I also just wanted to point out for the recorded streams, you have a low rumbling sound in the background, if you could eliminate that, it would be a nice and reduces the spaceship atmosphere :D Also care for double audio recording (that happened in past streams) from multiple recording sources. It makes a weird box echo effect!
Otherwise, thank you for everything you do and I wish you all the best!
Are you sure there's a low rumbling from his stream? I cannot hear it and I really tried after reading this
I ended up missing an RGB splitter, took a clothes pin, cut 3 - 1/2 inch pieces of wire from it, sanded it a tiny bit with sandpaper(it was painted) and stuck them in the rgb plug... the fit was perfect :)
I can confirm! I have a real Job as a Software Engineer and I decide about the technology we buy at our company! Software and Hardware. I was once a iPhone buying User with no experience about 10-12 years ago but LTT motivated me to study computer science and pursue a career!
I wanted to buy this case a long time. This really helps my choise 😅
25:00 It's a normal sensor display for food stores and beverage displays. It's battery last a long time.
These look super cool. Would love to try them on my newly built pc
How amazing 8pin EPS connector is? You can bend it in any direction possible and not start a fire.
Even Better, AsRock should build a UV reactive board to Linus's preference's and make it a signature series.
Guys... include a glam reel at the end of these. Or when linus says "it looks so cool". We never really got a good look at the finished product.
18:12 you step on both ends of the battery unplugging it and then directly look at the cord on the floor when you hear it drop.
I have a computer design challenge for you! a ferris wheel where each 'car' on the wheel is a massive storage device that would hot swap when at the 'station' position, with of course a stupid amount of rgb goodness!
Tanks for doing this build. 🙂
I recently watched the videos of channel superfun. If you would have advertised with Sarah for it, I would have watched it sooner. Every video with her is so much fun. I am also bit confused finding the followup videos about the plotter for the creative paper things.
Lmfao. He drops the case on the ssd and the sound that it made literally gave me a mini heart attack😅😂
We need a Linus Media Group LMG with linus themed 5.56 x 45mm Rounds
Last I heard of this PC case, it was used in a Tianenmen Square joke.
hi linus! i believe the radiator placement was meant in loo of the tempered glass panel
That is crazy that you mentioned the bug assault, literally bought one yesterday
i remember seeing this case like 3 years ago and hoping to god you would review it and build in it
