It's a lovely colour but....paint is far too dark (looks almost black with a hint of green in the light) and suggests it been applied too thick. The front and rear dropouts needed to have been masked off to leave a chrome area for the nuts. The forks were coated all the way up to the thread, with a little overspray. When applying decals, it's a good idea to mix up and spray a water-based/soapy applicator to the frame and decals which can assist with the positioning...it will evaporate too. Lastly....do you have evidence that the frame and forks were originally a HLT, because they were also used for another model DB?.....enjoy the build all the same.
Can I pick your brain, I’ve seen a Harry Leary 82 and it has rims with diamond cut outs around it. What’s your knowledge on these rims as I thought they had Araya’s originally 🤔 I may purchase it but was wondering on the rims as never seen them before? be great to hear your thoughts on these. 🙏🏼😁
There are two kinds. Anaya and CMC. The Arayas are aluminum and the CMC are steel. The Arayas are far mor valuable. Neither were owned by Diamondback. Neither ever came on a Diamondback.
Those look amazing!!!!
Thank you. And thanks for watching!
Beautiful my man!!
Joe Guido Thank you. And thank you for watching!
So amazing! I wanted a Harry Leary turbo so bad but my mother could only afford a silver streak.
I wish my parents had bought me a SS. Murray forever!
That's so bad ass!
Hoping to build it today!
