The level of surfing you see at Pipe or Snapper Rocks on a good day is 10x better than Rincon or Trestles. It's just shocking how many kooks surf in California.
Yesterday at rincon I got to watch the guy paddling next to me get run over by a longboard as the longboard tried to kick out... Sometimes you're more in the mood for a comedy/horror movie than an action/surf movie... Especially when the action/surf movies are only showing on other continents! Skip McCullough's session with Damien Hobgood further south is a huge exception... Someone send that boi to Pipe.
