i did really like the first volume! i’m glad, honestly i thought i would just like the art but think the story was just okay but i was pleasantly surprised. for become you i thought it was ok, a little convoluted but i think if you have faith in the storytelling ability of the mangaka i would go for it, i just have no other reference for how the story might go (re: orange, dreamin sun)
SO GLAD you like yona of the dawn and witch hat atelier. they’re two of my fav fantasy titles with stunning artwork, strong worldbuilding, and endearing characters! yona of the dawn is on the slow side (which i like), so i def recommend binging it and see how the story gets better and better. yona herself grows so much!
I really liked this style of video, I would love to see more like it if you enjoy making them! I think Witch Hat does take a little bit longer than your average manga to release, but it’s totally worth it since the art is always really stunning, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Yona of The Dawn and Witch Hat Atelier both are amazing! I need to read more Yona of The Dawn RightStuf hasn't shipped out all my volumes😅. Witch Hat is definitely in my top 15 such a wholesome yet dark story. Witch Hat Atelier chapters come out every month on the 22nd. The volumes used to come out every 3 months but now they come out every 6-7 months. I read it monthly and the wait kills me but is so worth it (I had to buy the volumes just so good haha).
loved the first volumes of both!! and that makes sense that witch hat is a monthly release, the art is so gorgeous i'm sure it takes forever to put in that much detail
for witch hat atelier, it’s normal for witches to take in young children to become their apprentice. you will meet other witches that have their own atelier with their own apprentices :) glad you enjoyed the first volume!! glad you also enjoy yotd as well, yona’s development is just amazing

i think it would be a good one for you then if you like the author's style! it was kinda information overload for me but i get that that's common for first volumes sometimes when they want to get the story running but it was like music, depression, magic, friendship, crush on childhood friend, being told in the past tense, etc

Yona of the dawn is one of my all time favorites the age gaps kinda throw me off since it’s not really my thing but her character development is just so good 😫
yona of the dawn is literally THE BEST omg 😳 since the early volumes are still scarce (i'm still missing 5 and 9-10 ;-;) i'd recommend watching the anime, it's pretty faithful to the manga! (i got a computer for christmas and so i can finally watch anime lol) the anime covers i think the first 9-10 volumes of the manga and despite only have 24 episodes (a travesty) it's still a pretty good intro to the series while you wait for those early volumes to come back in stock. the anime also has the benefit of being a little bit better in terms of pacing the story. i feel like you will really like some of the characters that will come into play later!!! this manga has lots of strong women and men who respect women (i literally pitched it to my friend as the men respecting women saga) and like i could literally talk about my intense love for this series all day so i will stop my comment here. i'd love to hear more of your thoughts and questions about the first volume tho ☺️

You always say you don't like fantasy before talking about fantasy series that you like lol. I swear it happens at least once per video. You might want to reevaluate your feelings on fantasy. I feel like you're tricking yourself.
you're right lol i'm such a liar 😂 i'm just not really attracted to those types of series i guess, my collection is probably like 2% fantasy, i'm open to trying pretty much anything though (edit: spelling)
