Pandora hearts is my all-time favorite manga and I'm so glad to see people finally giving it a shot! It definitely is a lot, but if you stick with it everything is beautifully interconnected and all of the mysteries do get explored and wrapped up well in my opinion. I would definitely recommend giving it your undivided attention and trying not to draw out your reading of it if you can because there is So Much to keep track of and honestly, taking notes probably isn't a bad idea. I hope you end up enjoying it though!! I really can't sing its praises enough and I've been on my Pandora Hearts soap box for literally 12 years now.
omg glad to see so many fans of the series! it gives me the confidence to continue but like you recommended ... i'm still trying to carve out a chunk of time to just binge it all
I read half of Pandora hearts and I was so confused, but part of it might have been me forcing myself to read it since it was the first big purchase of manga I got. And then I left it...didn't remember much that happened and never went back haha. But so many people swear by it and it's not like I didn't enjoy it, I was just very confused. Someday I'll go back to it. Editing to mention Welcome to the ballroom. I remember I told myself I'd just check vol 1 online to see if I'd like it. I ended up binging all 10 volumes in one sitting. I LOVE how intense the art can get during the dancing portions. My only gripe is perhaps the drama vs how old they are, but at the same time I know stuff like dancing starts at a young age.
this reminded me i need to get back into welcome to the ballroom 👁 and yes i think i really need to be mentally prepared to dedicate a lot of time and energy if i want to properly get into pandora hearts
New York, New York surprised me too, I liked it but the author did Mel so dirty throughout the series, and he was such a wholesome character. The cheating part pissed me off so much (hopefully not a spoiler for anyone else since it was already in the TW’s). I definitely liked the first omnibus more then the second but it’s worth reading to the end. Hope you enjoy it. The random number generator for volume 1 was a great idea, might try it for myself. I’m trying to read trough my collection atm.
ugggg right 🥲 mel deserves so much better, that's why i'm pretty lukewarm on the "romance," but i appreciate everything else the series is doing so much! and glad you enjoyed the randomizing lol, a little painful for me but i think it turned out good in the end to push me to try some series i've been holding off on
The cheating sucks but I kind of like seeing queer characters not be bastions of virtue who have to do no wrong. People are messy and the series does show that Mel is a dick but a caring dick.. sometimes.
Honestly, I felt the same way about Prince Freya when I first read it and immediately decided I wouldn't continue , but then I read it a second time & kept going with it and really enjoyed it. However, there are aspects that would turn people off lol. It's no Yona or Arslan, but I think it has its own merits in terms of the themes it highlights.
Glad you liked Akane Banashi as it's one of my have ongoing SJ series at the moment, haven't read it for a few months as I'm stacking up chapters to binge in the app.
Claymore manga is epic, it just keeps getting more and more insane and crazy, it's got a really good direction, story, and plot, keep reading! grins seriously, Claymore manga is near Berserk-level, one of the best manga of all time, and Claymore manga is complete too, with a true final ending to it as well (though, it could continue onwards too, should Yagi ever come back to it, riiiiight, or if fans do their own fan-fiction... but like that would be truly good... riiiight, sighs)
oof ya i usually try to give series more of a chance but i'm trying to be stricter with my own collection especially,, i might continue from the library though! it might be on the viz app too (?) i don't remember
For me it took until about halfway through Pandora Hearts before I really started to see how everything was connecting, it was still enjoyable before that for sure but volume 12 is when everything started coming together. Soon after that there were lots of reveals and shocking moments and I pretty much sprinted to the end. I do recommend blocking out some time to fully concentrate on the series since it does throw so many moving parts at you at once.
Such a fun video! I just love these try videos! Thanks for keeping me entertained putting laundry away lol Need to finish New York New York but I’m scared 😱
pandora hearts is a masterpiece i read it for the first time last year and it became one of my favorite mangas ever yeah stuff can feel weird/chaotic in the beginning but it does have a pay off if u stick with it and things will make sense.. definitely a series u would need to keep track of while reading lol
Well, welcome to the ballroom for sure manga, that is pure a work of art far om a really chunky anime. Vanitas for me is great, and as we have two volumes of Pandora out of print I decided not to buy Pandora, but I have two artbooks, I love Jun Mochizuki.
Thank you for making these videos they realy motivate me to finaly read my very very long tbr I also want to recomend you a very good Manga that i love to read rn. Its named Mr Mallow Blue and i think its only in digatal form in english but i still think its very good. The Art is great and the Story is very sad and also very enjoyeable to read. It is about a highschool girl and a 22 year old man. They switch there body one day and learn to live in the body of the other person. Tbh i cried every Volume (but that maybe only me) So yeah i hope you try it out if you didnt already
glad you enjoyed!! it is satisfying to me to at least see my vol 1 pile go down ... the rest though ... there's a lot more lol and thanks for the recommendation! i haven't heard of that one
Sounded interesting so I looked it up, and found that it was created by the same mangaka as Blood Mary! Does it have an official digital release, I couldn’t find it?
@@lingesten15 yeah it should have i found it easly when i looked up "Mr Mallow Blue read online" than you should find the english Version. But idk if its the official one tbh

glad you enjoyed! these are my favorite videos to film :)
@@tsukkinotes I can tell
This video had a lot of production value
Prince Freya definetly picks up vol 4+ and gets much better (but yes, you have to be able to make it that far in the first place 😅)
oof ya i usually try to give series more of a chance but i'm trying to be stricter with my own collection especially,, i might continue from the library though! it might be on the viz app too (?) i don't remember
It’s on Viz, but the volumes are the only option to read

You should definitely try show ha shoten manga too its a new release ( right now 3 volumes are released )
thanks for the recommendation!
Can you do a video of your most rare/hard to find manga?
i could 🤔 i don't think it would be very long though, i'm not much of a rare/oop collector, i don't really like hunting down volumes lol
