My GM truck the transmission suddenly started going sour fast.
I knew the end was very near and no spare vehicle.
Klunking shift and a loud clang if I'm coming to a stop fast.
I tried 1 bottle of this. Nada.
Second bottle and second day driving around it went noticeably better. Just long enough to arrange a rental and buy another vehicle.
It muffles the sloppy worn parts noises and pushes the hydraulic pressure on the servos and clutches.
My mechanic said he didn't think it was ridiculous to use it knowing that it's worn out.
I think it's ideal for light wear like first signs not after the warning lights are full brightness like its screaming "Help help".
Personally I would think if someone bought a used high mileage car to put 2 bottles worth + Synthetic fluid as there are no additives in Lucas.

I say you made it. My neighbor owned an automotive repair shop and wrecker service, he ran Lucas in all his vehicles and swore by it. His was more of a preventative measure than repair or recovery. His tow vehicles typically got 300k plus miles of hard service with no issues.

The transmissions on the Chevy 1/2 tons are the weak link. The LS motor is pretty good and I love them, but somebody did tell me the Ford Inline 6 300 will haul the last LS motor to the junkyard, LOL. Thanks for watching!

I used Lucas power steering to reduce a noise from my 99 f150 and it didn't do much for a few days until it worked in and it cut out 80% of the noise and was far smoother. I tried a fluid flush before that with Ford OEM fluid and it didn't make a difference, I turkey basted out equivalent amount and replaced with Lucas.
I think if you would've added Lucas when it first started to slip and drove it some the results would've been far better, 20-30 miles isn't enough to really test it.

Great call out! I do know the Lucas Power steering leak fix does state to keep putting it in until it works. I actually have a leaky power steering system on my 99 silverado, and I'm thinking I'll run a test with it. You could be absolutely right that more miles could have helped. Thanks so much for watching and the great comment!

You sound like you would wait until the frame had rotted into 3 or 4 pieces and then spritz it with Rust Check on the way to the junk yard just so you could say "I told you so!"

Am getting mad at the used car I bought.. after driving it for a month,it slips to neutral when driving it.its a Toyota auris semi automatic 07. I changed the fluid and it was normal. After some days , it happened again. I will need to off and on the car before it will engage again in the middle of the road. Am Even scared to drive it now. I took it to the mechanic and he checked and said he can't find anything 😢 that I should keep on driving it and if it occurs again I should bring it. Can Lucas do d job?
