Float fishing for monster chub. Better than lure fishing?

I did come up with this chub catching method a few years ago based on what I've seen during underwater filming. And since then it's been absolute slaughter house in fast rivers!

Are you sure they are not around? More often than not, chub are there just sneaky enough to get away without anglers seeing them!

What is the water doing where you are fishing? Is it a slack spot? On the video it looks like the flow is coming towards you? Cheers

Great technique awesome fishing do u fish over depth or do u fish with the mussel coming down the river at current pace u make it look so easy Andy. Very effective method long as loads of ppl don’t start using it to spoil it and get over fished this way. Such a great thinking clever Angler with all the ways you catch the fish your after and always try help and tell other anglers your ways you use no secrets a credit to u Andy topman 🐟🎣👍
