    I literally cant imagone trying to geat without QELive. They do a great job.
    The articles they publish every season on trinkets are also terrific.

      I 100% agree with you man, they do an amazing job for us as healers! It may not be super intuitive how to use the website and simulationcraft for some of the newer folks, but it can be a huge help for everyone :)

      @@ValiathGaming I wish there was the same kind of thing for tanks!!

      Yeah tanks is equally as hard to simulate for as healers. Damage reduction and mitigation is not as cut and dry as damage done.

    Your comment about the BiS list is incorrect. The list on wowhead isn't a list for the BiS set, but rather is a list of the best piece in each slot independent of each other. You don't always want to wear every single piece on that list together because you will be over capped in some stats while being low in others. That list also doesn't take into account alternate pieces with leech on it. But other than that then yes, QE is the best place to sim for healers.

      Hmm I’m not sure that is entirely right, the guide specifically says “absolute best possible gear you can get”, and I interpret that as this is all of the best gear in each slot you should have. It makes no mention of variations of any sort but does say all of this gear is obtainable.
      This is why I don’t like BiS lists as they themselves don’t paint the full picture. By their argument, each and every piece in the slot is the best possible gear you can have in that slot. For the unsuspecting player, that means that all of the gear together is what you should be running, which is wildly inaccurate as you said and I agree with. Hence my comment, it is a good starting point but it does not take into consideration your character and is presented in such a way that you should and can have all of those pieces together, which both of us know is not actually correct.
      I can’t find anywhere where it say that the pieces on the list should not be used together as the best possible set. They specifically say they the list is curated as a general list of gear to work together. If I am misreading that or can’t find where they make that stipulation please let me know. They do say go sim on QE live to make sure though, but that isn’t much help for people reading the list as “this is the best piece in every slot you can and should get”
      TLDR: I think you are right but what is presented on wowhead is not very clear about that. New players will likely not understand the details like you and I do.

      @@ValiathGaming I will do more testing this week but I had originally followed your first video so I hit 40% for crit (with phial), 35% for haste, and then prioritized the extra gear to increase mastery (rune) and vers. But I actually ran QE yesterday and it told me to use different gear that over capped me a little on both crit and hate and added a ton more to mastery while lowering vers. I didn't really pay attention to whether those items were on the BiS list but at this point in the game I pretty much have every item on it at either heroic or mythic level. I'll see if QE recommended non BiS gear over BiS gear and report back.

    • @ValiathGaming
      @ValiathGaming  6 месяцев назад +1

      For sure man. I think the BiS list is good at the start of a tier but as you said, at this point, everyone should have practically everything other than maybe trinkets.
      I’m am ovecapped on both crit and haste and I am actively trying to get those down and pushed into as much vers I can get. Mastery is ok, but vers will be much more valuable in a m+ environment, but mastery is good in raid.

      Can confirm QE suggested gear that is not on the BiS list even though I have the BiS gear in my bag and it's the same gear score. Did it for my waist and boots. @@ValiathGaming
