This is the first cruise I ever went on 🥹 I was 13. I was naive and was upset at my parents for booking a cruise over a resort - little did I know this trip would change my perspective on cruises for life. Thank you for this video. It’s very nostalgic for me
I've cruised on this ship in 2003 (Alaska), 2012 Northern Europe, 2013 Caribbean, and again later this year. I've cruised on NCL's Pearl, Jewel, Escape, and Getaway ships and of those, the Sun is our favorite because of the size.
I'm going to be on this ship 🚢 the 4th quarter of next year. I'm going to Japan 🗾 for 11 days with stop in Taiwan and other places that I have given up trying to pronounce.😊
I was on Norwegian Sun for 11 days Alaska cruise last October! I like it because it’s a small ship- capacity is only over 2000 cruisers! The service was great! The food was ok- there’s no O’Sheehans! The only dining experience I enjoyed was Cagney’d steakhouse! Other than that food was ok! I don’t recommend the ship to anyone!
What trip was this filmed on? We just got off the 20 night Panama Canal cruise last month on the NCL Sun! Good ship, not great as it is small and "cut up" on certain decks... the staff was great!
I absolutely loved this Alaska cruise 100%. Be prepared to eat good, drink well, meet neat people, GO TO ALASKA, relax well.......oh did i mention you eat good. I highly recommend this!!!!!!!!.
Appreciate all the content you provide, please do not stop! 🙌 Unfortunately, Norwegian Sun makes my list of Top 20 Ships I'll never step foot on! 😅 Lmao
@@jnaifuqua-clair1590 NCL Sun is too old and small! It has no outdoor screen, no water slides and virtual no physical activities outside the walking track! The only Norwegian ships I'm interested in are the Prima, Viva, Encore, Bliss, and Joy!
This ship is meant for cruising, not family friendly. It’s more for people who want to sightsee and travel. It’s not good for folks who like roller coasters and race tracks on the ship. 3:37
Great comprehensive video. Unfortunately this ship looks so tired in my opinion, especially when you compare it to the Norwegian Spirit and the excellent job they did with its renovation.
We’re on this cruise right now ow. We’re done with Norwegian. I think we’ll stick with river cruising. Staff are pleasant and helpful, but this ship is long in the tooth. It needs a total overhaul. Every morning the toilet won’t flush due to something systemic in the ship’s septic system. Most evenings our room smells of sewage sulfur smell. Shower bottom has multiple cracks. It is like a RV black water tank. Our impression is that Norwegian’s profits come first- not us. They try to extract the maximum profit out of every passenger. Confiscatory fees. Pushing $300 for Internet! $17 for a glass of wine. $250 for kids to play video games. Excursions are expensive. You pay for the nicer restaurants. Not even free soda. Need some basic meds? It’ll cost ya! Unlike river cruises, ship executives aren’t going to ask you how things are, except in the pay restaurants. Nobody told us about veteran perks, and they will not make good on that now that we’re on the ship. There’s a few veteran gatherings, but the “alphabet people” have lots of get togethers.
We saw your review and just exited the Alaska cruise on the Sun on May 29, 2024. Our cabin flooded, the boat is very old, the crew was often defensive and disengaged, and generally this felt poor. Norwegian customer service has done nothing to correct the situation. It appears that they care more about profits than people. Very poor experience.

Who was the cruise director?

Is the sushi bar included in the cruise packet?
What camera do you use? It looks great!
Sony.
When booking through you, can one use cruise next credits?
We use those all the time.
Are the Sun and Sky bigger than Jewel class?
No.
