R129 Mercedes Sunvisisor Vanity Mirrors replaced, Not a cheap project unfortunately that costed me AUD 520. Did not even buy the back plate or the complete assembly. Please comment about the condition of your mercedes sunvisors...

Mine are in perfect condition. However if I open them they will break :( Years ago you could buy them from MBZ which I did.... used them a few times and they broke at the hinges...these were brand new. So, I purchased them new AGAIN and never opened them so they are perfect that is if I do not open them. But what good are they if you can not use them. There is a company that you can get not oem but upgraded mirror assemblies that are reinforced at the hinges which I am thinking of doing and replace the BRAND NEW ones I have.
Thanks for the hint, the ones I installed were not Genuine either, hopefully they will last a long time.

Is there a battery in the visor?
Hi, short answer is no. The power comes to sunvisor through the clips.
