Honestly I think this ended up being a really cute and creative build. I get bored with a lot of repetition so "nightmare shell" houses often end up being my favorites. I hope you do more like this. Would love to see you do like a color wheel generator and have to use that with a challenge too, sometime.

I feel like lilsimsie's shell challenge problems will go away if she tried modern houses. Roof tiles with limited shapes doesn't always go well with weirdly shaped rooms, compared to modern houses that allows versatility.
I feel like Kayla's only concept of a modern house is some wacky celebrity stuff that's all blocky and white marble inside. There are new houses that people just live in and have trendy furniture, not 2004 red wood cabinets eaten through by termites lmao

I think a lot of it is how she looks. Even she has said she still looks like a teen and gets mistaken for one. So she mentions being married and people see how she looks and are shocked. However, that's honestly pretty typical lately.. seems like millennials and younger generations generally look younger even when older. I've seen quite a lot in their 30s and still look like they could pass for 18. lol

Love what you did with it! If it were me, I think I would have spun it around and used the bit in the back that was not diagonal as the entryway, but maybe that would have been too easy lol 😂

My favourite simsie videos are the trust the process ones. Not just because it always ends up looking at least decent, but also because of how much of the video is us being told to “just hang on, it’ll look better I swear”

I was thinking the two walls that come to an point could have two big windows and be the small dining area and the kitchen couldve been on the walls across from each other, lol idk i wouldve had a whole break down ! Good one Dan ! Haha

Update: made a sim. Tried this build. Kayla you’re a goddess. I couldn’t handle it and then the lot glitched and I went to bed. This thing was definitely a fun way to spend a couple hours though!
When she said cottage I immediately thought it would be *perfect* in Glimmerbrook as a spell caster cottage!! Being a funky shape with random roofs is great for that!
I think, it's one of the tasefull house you ever created, yes not my style but the colors and furnitures came together so nicely and looks lively without lots of clutter.

A bizarre challenge I’ve thought of doing was making little houses around the lot for each room of the house, could be a bit chaotic but could be cute too if done right!!
I know that she always says that the shape doesn't make sens in Shell challanges but i find that i like these builds the most. The look do cool and unique but stilo realistic!

I think you should do a challenge where you're not allowed to do blue exteriors for next 6 builds. Force yourself to work with other colors instead of just what's comfortable.

I already want to do this shell challenge, I know how I'll roof it and furnish it. Also you can do a porch on a diagonal, make it medium or tall wall height and make a platform then raise the whole interior floor to the porch height, its a platform version of a porch and you don't technically have to deal with the tall walls because they are ordinary height on the inside. You then add platform stairs up to the porch. Hope that helps.
