this song has been incredibly important to me in my personal walk and my walk with others who i do worship with. i’m a worship singer myself and i really want to pursue ministry. i often forget the character of Gods love, i’ll look past it and only see the Righteous Judge He is, and think that He is only angry with me. this song always reminds me of how Jesus truly loves. yesterday was my 17th birthday and my first tattoo (my birthday gift) is going to be a tree bending beneath the words, “His wind and mercy”. thanks John💗

My friends and I were at the Morning Star conference the morning we heard the news about his friend Steven.. It was heartbreaking! Won't ever forget that.

We lost our 15 month old nephew this summer and as I watch this video, I am reminded that even in my anger and my doubts, I have a God who loves me. Even in my depths of depression and the seasons when I struggle to be grateful, his love remains. I pray that I can still sing praises when my heart is broken. I pray that I can accept God's grace even when the terrors of life are all around me. I pray that I can sing about God's love, even when I don't feel loved by him.

We’ve live in a broken world. In heaven everything is perfect and there’s no death. Here on earth we deal with hurt and death alot. This was such a beautiful honest response to death. I can’t help but think of that verse “death where is your sting?”
