- I made this Simple wood burning Fire pit from scrap that I had laying around. Including an old washing machine drum, some steel pipes, and an old cast iron Grill plate.

I used to keep plants in my washing machine tub but now I'm going to show this to my husband. I like that you have the same tools as us. Some RUclipsrs have tools that are way beyond our reach and it can put us off even trying. But this is doable. Thanks!
You get the award of the year for editing out the powertool noises. Good work!!
Thank you 😊
Dito on the editing of the powertools
A man of few words and just gets it done! O.K., your right... No words!
Finally someone made something that is very useable and you don’t see a 1000 times on U.T.
Great job.
That is really nice. Nice to see someone building something with tools that the average guy would have in his garage.
Great job
Thanks
I guess i am the only female here who expressess love for carpentry/metal crafting machines. Everytime i watch videos like this i feel so envious of what they use to create useful diy crafts at the comfort of their own yard. I wish (my longtime dream actually!) to have machines like that in my garage!!!!
Ps: just subscribed dear!
I can definitely say you are not alone with that. There are luckily so many females in this diy, maker world! Thank you very much Rossana for subscribing!
@@Ollaris 😚😚😚❤❤❤❤
I just finished dismantling my old washing machine and kept the drum knowing I'd find the perfect fire drum video and here it is! Thank you very much :)
Your wood stove is so cool
Dude! You are not using scrap materials, you are retasking appliances! Good job!
Any one who gave you a thumbs down is an idiot.. Genius idea and excellent use of recycled materials..
That was the most exciting lawn mower sound I ever heard I bet you that's a Briggs & Stratton
Haha 😆
Made a fire pit out of washing machine drum 20 years ago. Set of legs and handles, with repurposed lawnmower wheels on on set of legs. Could move it around anytime. A lot of people mounted them right on old lawnmower bodies.
Yours is a very elegant job.
The only one thing you didn't do was invite me over for dinner. Great job your extremely talented
Sorry 😅 Thank you!
Must admit, that is a great idea, talk about being practical. Well done.
Everytime i watch these kind of videos, i get excited wanting to start doing it right away. But then i realised i don't have the proper tools and it would cost a lot to buy 'em all first.. 🤣
I’m sure most of the people that make stuff collect tools over a long period of time. It took me a better part of my life to get everything that i have. Start of by looking for a project that uses the tools you already have. Buy a cheap 20$ angle grinder. You can also buy tools secon hand or borrow some from friends.
The sound effect do not get old. Love it.
Haha! Thanks!
That's awesome 😍
Now That was Amazing ! DIY like that requires talent along w/ingenuity. You could market that item !
Over here in Germany nearly everybody has such a thing, always thought it was like an international thing
Красавчик!!! молодчик!!! Хорошую тему замутил!!!
What a great addition to a back yard! Brilliant design too.
Thanks a lot man! Yeah it’s nice to have a proper fire pit.
This is something really brilliant right here.
I've been looking for an alternative to the brick-pits . Thank you for this.
🙂👍🏻
Thanks! I’m happy that you got something out of it!
@@Ollaris BEST looking Washtub I have seen yet! GREAT JOB!
I love looking through your internet video. Thanks for your time!
Thank you!
This is clever. I think ANYTHING is possible when you have the right tools. You're the only one on the block who has one exactly like it.

Amazing project. Now I want to go and build one with a griddle top. Nothing like a group of friends sitting around the fire drinking together and good food on the grill or griddle. Even a small wall on those side tables would enable you to sit outside and make a good breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes.
Yess! Thank you very much
I’m just going to smash my washing machine up brb!!! 😂
Yassss! 😉😅
Go to scrap yard. I think its cheaper that way
Jurij S. thanks
Excellent IDEA my friend.we need it badly today.our natural gas is very expensive my new friend
Definitely one of the best DIY's out there! A really great looking / functional piece!
Thank you very much Chris!
Reinventing the washing machine. Smart use of something that would go to waste. Keep thinking.
Thanks!
I love how you turned the chicken thigh towards the camera after cutting it like it was a wagyu medium rare steak.
That would be a giant chicken. Looked like a pork chop to me.
Great design! The legs fit perfectly with the tub and such great functionality of the tables and the grate.
Thanks Christopher!
That was really cool man! Loved the editing
Thank you very much Bobby! 🙂😊

What a great idea
Fantastic design and wonderful execution!!! Only one request... improve It with something to simplify
the ash removal when the fire expire😉
Luca Pedrazzi maybe a trap door at the bottom
@@Andy-go7dk or just dump it upside down
Very nice, total craftsman ship
Damn that looks good! you are a genius! well done man! i'm always amazed about your videos!
Thank you soo much! I’m glad you enjoy them!
@@Ollaris I sure do! I really love your work and your videos man! I wish i was that good as you!
You are!
@@Ollaris I don't know, i try to do my best, but i just started with filming and editing, so i have to learn a lot!
Very nice true trick of the trade. Very good
Beer!!!!! wheres the beer ???? :D good job my friend
Trust me, it was there.😉
Great!!!!!!
Way to recycle and reuse. The legs were fun as well. I found it particularly interesting that your drill driver sound just like my lawn mower, LOL!! Nice video keep up the great works! Thanks for sharing! :)
Thank you very much Regina! 😊😉
It’s the first time I’ve watched a video on this channel - (obviously a drill is not a lawnmower and doesn’t sound like one) = I’m assuming the RUclips blogger is disguising the sound of his power tools, as others have disliked the sound of the p. tools? (e.g angle grinder sound was disguised with rock music)
Awesome, good idea for the summer nights.
Yes! Thank you!
excelente trabajo Saludos desde Argentina
I've been using the washer tubs for years as a fire box but never even thought about the concept of the grill. Nice! Thanks for the video Brother! Build on my friend.
Thanks!
Da sind sie wieder, die witzig vertonten Werkzeuge 😆.
Sehr sehr cooler Grill, super gemacht! ...und ein Paradebeispiel für Nachhaltigkeit und sinnvolle Verwertung von "Schrott". Danke!
Dankeschön Volker!
You're creating artistic works
Really nice idea and of course great skills for construction. 👍
Thank you very much!
Bom trabalho amigo 👍
Ficou excelente ✌️
Pro tip: remove the spark arrestor from your drill for an easy 25% increase in torque.
Nice design. Brilliant metal work.
Ingenious ... clever .....big like....
Thank you very much!
This guy is ab artist!
Agree with Zoltan Pinter, sweating a big chunk of fatty bacon onto a slice of bread, real hungarian thing! Need to dust off my barbeque! Weird thing happened in Manchester this weekend,we didn't see any rain!😀
We do the same in Romania. :)
Yes very Hungarian my mother from Hungary that is what they call spelling?? Selina n Slovenian shpeck! Love it
Dude. Great as usual. I like how you think about the stuff you create and make it useful
Thank you very much!
Soy mexicano y me gusto el vídeo espero que sigas poniendo más vídeos que Dios te bendiga
Brilliant idea,well done.👍🥃🏴
Thanks!
This is a super nice fire pit. Grilling rack, warming trays Really awesome job!! Can you make me one!!
Awesome job, nice and clean very versatile as well. I have never ran across a Stainless steel wash tub, every one that I have found has a porcelain coating, which will work as well, but the Stainless tub has a cleaner look.
Thanks for sharing your build and video.
Kind regards, Eric Dee
Work of art brother ,I love the design.cheers for the vid.🙂👍
A true Maker project! Very smart use of materials. Love the sound track!!
Thank you very much Bernie!
Dam bro that is a slick ass fire pit and I love the warming trays on the side..you should make a few more of them and sell them..I would buy one!
Thank you very much! I’ll keep you updated
I’ll buy one. Keep me updated.
So will I. Most definitely.
A washing machine drum is the best idea :D Few years ago I use too.
Very nice build! I;d avoid using wood handles that close to the fire chamber. That's close enough to still get too hot to grab and there is the pyrolysis factor. Pretty sure you'll come up with a forked device or a wire cage affair that'll make the rest of us enjoy the "wow, wish I'd thought of that."
Thanks! Yeah I’ll figure something out that’s better suited.
Sehr geile Idee 💡
Very cool! Might I suggest you make wooden handles for the eye bolts used to lock the tables and grill? I'm site they get hot and you still want to be able to adjust or lock them while a fire is going. As always great video.
Thank you very much! Yes! I haven’t thought about that. But you are right! They get pretty hot. I probably add them later.
@@Ollaris
Nah, DON'T USE WOOD 👈🏼 ON IT.
BEND A PIECE METAL ROD IN'2 THE
SHAPE OF AN LARGER (Allen Wench)
ABOUT 8" IN LENGTH IZ THE WAY
TO GO....
WOODEN KNOBS 🤦🏻♂️
WILL GET JUST AZ HOT🔥AND DRY OUT
CRACK & BREAK OFF....
welding gloves will fix that , always best to wear while cooking on a wood fire .
Cooking mittens.
Don't bother... just use a stick in the eye of the bolt.
Always love your videos. Not only your ideas and execution, but the delivery is so relaxing and enjoyable to watch! Love it, ty so much.
Thank you very much!
The lawnmower drill had me rolling
Very nice, fantastic idea.
Вещь красивая, но не надёжная.
За идею 👍
Finally someone that cooks meat properly
Your fabrication skills are way better than your cooking skills
I totally agree with that! 😅
Yo 🙋♂️. Thats what ill been looking for. 👍 Thanks ☝️💯💯🍻
Love your skills, thanks foe sharing!
Great Job!!!
На концах ножек можно было резьбу нарезать, тогда их можно было бы складывать для удобства транспортировки.
2 кирпича и всё . На Х... эти мучения ?
It looks like a Lunar lander, cool !
me: "looking at my old washer"
washer: "heavy sweating"
😅🤣😂
Awesome brother. I love it.
Great idea except the washer drum won't hold up over time. But it will work great the first time
Exactly! Fully agree with you, friend. After several times you make fire, it damages coating and the drum becomes rusty.
At least the poisonous fumes are gonne over time.
It is not a coating. It’s Made of stainless steel.
Ingenius Contraption!!
Мужик, ты просто красавчик!!! Я твой проект скопирую если не возразаеш.
Very simple, functional and elegant; love it. Great video
A very elaborate piece. 👍
Gringo não sabe Churrasquear! Fazer churrasqueira sim. Mas, churrasco não. Kkkkkkkkk
So creative. Turned out awesome!
Thanks Ryan!
Am I the only one who noticed the lawn mower sound effect for the screw gun
Lol heard the Briggs and Stratton too!
Hahaha no cause I was going to comment the same thing!!
Screw gun? That’s a drill.
Yeah that drill sounds just like a lawnmower!
😂
Very nice and well thought!!! Job well done!!!
Thanks Mark!
Say BYE, BYE, to my mother in-laws washing machine ;o)
Hahahaha
Excellent very Useful Creative Recycling. Nice Grill Cooker!
I am thinking of the possibilities with mine. Maybe a "Strainer" for the Garden Vegetables & Fruits.
Or to clean Metallic Cartridges Cases for Reloading.
Or for holding Fish/ Crayfish/ Crabs/ Clams while Fishing.
There are so many excellent useful possibilities- options for these excellent multi purpose Stainless Steel Washing Machine Drums/Tubs/.
Yes! All great ideas!

Nice job
I love it! It looks a little like a sterno alcohol burner!
Thanks! Never seen one of those.
@@Ollaris Maybe you don't see them where you are, but they put them under warning trays in restaurants and buffet servers in north america. Your BBQ looks a little like a giant version of that to me!
Now i know! I didn’t knew that’s what they called!
I don't know why 711 peoples disliked this amazing job
for a second I thought you would use the blacksmith tongs to pick up the meat, haha! Great stuff
Damn! I missed the chance! 😩😩😩 Thanks Joe!
superb!! thanx for sharing and bon apetit!!
Thanks!
It’s wonderful that you have such a creative mind
Beautiful Ollari, Absolutely Beautiful and Creative!
Awesome video. I've had the idea of a fire pit out of a washing machine drum circling in my head for years, great minds and all that, but you've made it much more than just a fire pit. I really like your spiderish leg design too.
I guess I should get my ideas out of my head and into reality!
The Narcoleptic Tinkerer, Glen from DIY Creators made a huge firepit a couple years back from a washing machine drum as well. I think he also added concrete but it was really cool.
Thanks! Yes, you should!
Great job!
Thanks
