B&G Sprayer repair- Pump not building pressure & broken wand

- In this episode we cover the pump and cannister section of a 1 gallon B&G sprayer. It can be a daunting task if they break or stop working, but really they are simple to work on with a little bit of knowledge. Keeping the sprayer clean is the best thing that you can do for them.
If there is something specific that you would like to see us do or repair, drop a comment and we will see if we can make that happen.

have you guys ever repaired the wand holder? mine fell off a year ago. very annoying. it probably has to be welded back. any suggestions would be appreciated! my b&g does not have the decorative plastic on it. it's all stainless steel including the holder.
We have a couple of those. Ours are the “univar” sprayers. So I know what you are dealing with. The only way to fix that would be to weld it back on. We have had a tank welded before, it was the top collar that the tube goes in. It can be welded. Best!
Too fast...
Didn't show how to remove the packing seals ...3 of them.
I use a pick. They usually don’t come easily. Thanks for watching!
Where do you order parts from?
@@RoyHarris-l6n we use our distributor, but there are several places online that are good. We have gotten parts from sprayerdepot.com and Qspray.com there are some other good ones that ship parts.
hi thank you for your information . I do have a question I'm losing pressure on the of the pump side hole? what is the issue please help.
It has to be the end seal or the black seal on the pump. Let me see if I show that in the other video. If you do a pump rebuild that should solve the issue. The air is getting past the seal.
Try this one-

How did you get the brass parts so clean? I used steel wool on mine but they don't look nearly as good as yours do.
Age does take more scrubbing to get it looking better. If I’m being honest, I usually give up before I get them too clean. When it is my personal sprayer I clean it more often and keep it nice. Thanks for watching!
I think the soap in the SOS pads helps too.
There’s play in the pump handle shaft with the hole in the lid. I haven’t seen a video that fixes air coming through the lid-shaft hole. Is it an O-ring seal, thick grease or not serviceable?
I doubt the lid itself is the issue, depending on age it could have worn the hole too large. More likely the shaft itself has worn or corroded and should be replaced. There is no o-ring but it does need to thread into the handle properly to seal and I have seen some deteriorate since it is a steel part. Without seeing what it does, hard to diagnose. If you have multiple units you can test different parts to see where the faulty part is. Best of luck with it.
@@pestcontrolguys The first sentence is correct, but can it be fixed by drilling and nylon or similar material sleeving?
@@johnnash5118 I don’t know of anyone that makes a sleeve or seal of any kind. You can buy the top piece separately. That’s probably the easiest. Best!
@@pestcontrolguys Hardware stores sell bushings that can match up any small diameter shaft. You just enlarge the hole with a drill-press and press it in. When it wears out again 5 years later, just replace the bushing again.
Can you please please please do a tutorial on how to fix an actisol machine either commercial or the hand held. I have both. And both are not producing any pressure/smoke. I’m thinking I have to replace the wand. However, maybe I don’t have to. Thank you 🙏
Helpful video thank you, quick question, I just got a new B&G sprayer and the Tank base is facing the wrong way, any tips on what’s the best way to pop it off without breaking it?
That may be a question for your supplier. I am not sure if they have adhesive on them from the factory. I would say take a block of wood and use a hammer to tap on the lip all the way around and see if you can remove it. I just looked at a replacement bottom and it looks like it is friction fit, no snaps to release or anything like that. Hope that helps!
This helped me a lot!! Thanks for being so informative!!
