Thanks for making a vid. I have 6 b&gs and been wanting to make a vid on this very thing. Weird not much pest control stuff on RUclips. I want to do one on skid sprayers. Thanks again
Thanks for taking the time to comment. The sprayer can be completely rebuilt, and the online manual/pasts list is so awesome. Unfortunately, for the life of me I couldn’t find a video or diagram explaining how to remove that nylon anti drip wire. All I knew is the sprayer was dripping from the tip, and I had the parts diagram. With six of em, I’m sure you could take em apart and put them back together in your sleep, but thanks for watching and the nice words. I’ll definitely watch if you do one on skid sprayers!
@@Samlol23_drrich yes I have but I’ve learned through trial and error pulling the nylon wire the wrong way or putting it all together and it pressing on the trigger and it keeps spraying seat stem is not adjusted correctly. Again, thanks it helps to have a different view on how to disassemble it.
Accidently left the b&g in the vehicle over night and the wand froze and burst. This is exactly what I needed to save the 2nd half of my day. Thanks for making this!
Thank very much for your video, tomorrow early morning I have an emergency pest control service and my sprayer was not working properly and with the help of your video I was able to fix it. I'm from Mexico. Best regards and thanks again!
Awesome Job This is the 3rd time I've had to disassemble to thoroughly clean all of the sediments and gunk. But after 3 years of not doing it. My gray matter needed a refresher and you NAILED IT
Outstanding video. Thanks a bunch for making this, really helpful and made my swap out a breeze. Last time I changed one of these out it took forever. Many thanks
Thank you for this video. You just helped me solve a problem out in the field at work. On the first job on the first day back from Thanksgiving break. Thank you!
As stupid as this sounds, thats why I make these videos. So many peoples videos have really helped me in the exact same way, I figure if it helps one person it makes me feel really good. So thanks for making my day with your comment!
Thanks for showing the mesh strainer at the end. I bought a used 1 gallon B&G that was sold for parts. I went through the entire thing. Even the pick up tube in the tank was clogged. I heated, used solvents etc to try to get that strainer out. The sprayer worked but had low pressure and I eventually had to use pliers to remove the strainer in pieces. I wondered if it was put in correctly and your video confirmed that it was. Without the strainer, it sprays like a new one. Now, I will replace that part and have me a very nice sprayer for 42 bucks. The handle could not move the cable at all when I received it. Corrosion from sitting with chemical inside I guess. I also like to take the spray tip off when finished rinsing have the pump off tank and invert the tank over my head to let the hose drain after cleaning. You do have to squeeze the handle to let it drain. The less water etc in the line, the better in my opinion.
Thanks for the video I recently purchased a brand new B&G from local supplier...within 8 months the screw fell out from handle, wand cracked in several places replaced it...then main cylinder cracked that pressurize the tank...so I called supplier they did replace cylinder for free but as of lately I was told there have been several complaints on quality/durability has went down...I would definitely not purchase another one anytime soon...I have an older B&G that I use also that has never had any major issues except for replacing gasket and seals....your video was very helpful though in replacing wand...also in Brooksville FL Airfog sprayers will replace B&G parts with better quality stuff and also sale there versions of B&G sprayers in my opinion are way more high quality and durable
That's incredible! The only failures I ever hear about are guys leaving em in their trucks in the winter up north where they can freeze. You should send this directly to B&G. They should send you a brand new unit. Period. I'll keep it in mind though
@Samlol23_drrich the supplier I purchased from said they did contact B&G and their response was they would replace parts only....I told them I wanted a new one since it was less than a year old I was told no....I'm in Central Florida hardly ever gets below freezing and I take precautions if it does with my equipment and the cracked wand and cylinder happened in March and April never got freezing temps then...but I will contact them directly now that you mentioned it for sure
Great vid thx very much...am I able to just put a new o-ring in that soft seat gasket or do I need to buy the whole metal assembly? I assume it's just an o-ring in there? A new kit is $50-$60!!!
Here’s the best way to find out. I’m not sure off the top of my head. Here are the parts. My guess is you can buy just the gasket. bgequip.com/content/product-sprayer-primeline-tank-sprayer-selection-guide-USA.pdf
Just bought a new b&g about 6 months ago...went to use it this morning first stop went to pump it up went in customer building and the wand started to leak just above the curve and looks like it split about 3 inches...no clue how 🤔 but thanks for video will be replacing asap with new wand....luckily I had some spare parts and was able to finish the day
Maybe send a photo to the company and they will replace under warranty. You never know. Especially if it wasn’t left somewhere it could have frozen cause you know that’s what they will say if you don’t tell them it didn’t freeze first. If it was me I would remove the sprayer, take it apart enough to make sure there was no liquid inside and then use some of the original JB WELD grey epoxy over the split. That stuff is great and will seal it up. . You can probably use some painters tape down the sides of the split to make it look nice- just peel it off right after you put the epoxy on (while it’s still wet). . Even if you buy another I’d probably try the epoxy and keep it as a spare. Good luck and thanks for commenting.
Excellent video. If you have another video for the parts of the tank that would be awsome. I live in Brasil and we got some of these sprayers as well as the accu professional and if they are well maintained our service gets better.
@@Samlol23_drrich only in va, i think it was maybe 28 the night it happened. So i replaced the wand extension and everything seems to be working but i noticed when i release the handle it stops spraying slowly like its hard for the wire to release. Im using the same wire, do you think it needs to be replaced or something might not be seated correctly?
@@deadmau56661 it’s probably not the wire. Mine was a little sticky at some point also. Pulled the trigger all the way and squirted a little wd40 on the wire part that goes back into the trigger area and that seemed to fix it. That happens periodically. I would squirt Ed 40 into both the very front and very back wire areas. I would start with looking at time stamp 14:44. So squeeze the trigger like I did at that timestamp and hold it in. Then squirt some wd40 on THe Half an inch of wire you see at 14:44. Good luck
I also ask how to remove the item 30 which is the safety lock nut and is extreely difficult to remove. In fact I want to dissassemble it all, wash all parts and assemble again, but that safety lock nut is not easy to remove and replace.
I think those are merely spacers and wouldn't be the cause of a leak, but I would grab them with a small pick like you would use for a gasket. Something like this www.amazon.com/dp/B000NPPBQK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_ZR7895DBG325M4Y3V5GE
@@Samlol23_drrich Hi I have a leak and I need to find why, that is why I thought about those white washers. Maybe they are worn out, what do you think?
I can't seem to figure out why I continue to get drips unless I pull the handle backwards after I squeeze it. It doesn't spring back tight enough to seal the pressure at the tip. It has done that ever since the day I bought it. I guess I'll do a full dissasembly and start from scratch.

The white rings in the body are packing. When the packing nut is tightened the rings make a seal between the body and the valve operator (wire).
