The reason for there not being a Dine menu available at weekends, is just that they don't have onboard chefs to cook the main meals offered on those menus. The remainder of the menu is usually simple or pre-packed and heated up. Hope that helps.

I never knew there was an LNER train from Sunderland, but to be fair, I wouldn't normally be around Sunderland Station at 05:39 in the morning.
When I started to watch the video, I assumed it would travel south, ie towards London, similar to the Grand Central trains do, so was surprised to see it heading north to Newcastle before heading down to KGX.
    Great video !

I'm glad you enjoyed it. To be fair to you, there's only two a day, one northbound and one southbound. The silly time of day that they run probably doesn't help. The northbound one gets to Sunderland at 23:20!

      @@Pulsarnix thanks for your reply.
Just looked on the internet and see LNER will stop running this Sunderland service from December 2024.
Come to think of it, I vaguely remember seeing something about this on the local news a few months ago, but I probably didn't take much notice, as it wouldn't affect me as I live in Whitley Bay, which is near Newcastle.

Feels really weird to see an Azuma screeching through. So used to grand Central, northern and metro only.

There's only too LNER services a day into Sunderland. It felt a bit strange too tbh 😅

Nice to see a different view of crossing the Tyne.

@@Gus0898uk Thanks. Yes, I found it was rather strange as well. I hardly go over High Level Bridge.
