What I do: I eat 99% kienyeji food, I eat until 80% full, Most Days, I practice Intermittent fasting (from 2pm onwards I do not eat, I only drink warm water. THE BEST eating wisdom from my mother, She taught me to eat 'BEL'/ Sorghum ugali, you remain full for 10+ hours. Finally, I feed my mind with images of those who are lean and healthy like Chinese and Kalenjin runners. At my heaviest I was 72 kgs, after I took charge of my life I remain a happy 52kgs. I Am Ofwona oh wow! I have been stuck on 73 the whole year! Since Dec 1 I have been doing no sugar no carbs. I weigh 69. AIM is 59. Seems such a loooooong way away😫. Really encouraged by your story. So basically you eat anything except from 2pm?
@@LethoHali Yes, for example this morning for breakfast (6:00am) I had a bowl of githeri and a slice of avocado, then at around 10am I had a banana and a pineapple slice, then at 1pm I ate Brown ugali+managu. Up to now, am still full and I'll be in bed by 9pm coz I get up early at 4:30am...(Don't forget plenty of water all day)... My body is now used to it, so I'm never hungry in the evenings. Before when I was heavier, I'd snack all day and suffered ulcers, constant heartburn, constipation and body dissatisfaction. It took me 3 whole years of yo-yoing then I finally got it right by changing my eating habits and what I ate. The exercise is just a plus. It worked like magic. Your body will respond quickly when fed the right things, never ever give up. Work steadily and the slow but sure result will encourage you to keep going.
@@LethoHali Just a small note: occasionally (especially a couple of days before the period) I get double my normal appetite, so on such days I am flexible and will eat ngwashe or nduma in the evening, or drink mala, uji or some fruits, but not later than 6pm so that I'm comfortable when going to sleep.

I lost weight by running 4kms daily and diet. Never gained the weight back two years later. I fast regularly but when I'm eating there's nothing that's off limits

Great tips, thanks for sharing,Protein powders are good when you are recovering but long term use have an effect on liver .One should try and do natural sources of protein as much as you can.
I’ve also been on my journey I yoyo a lot. Pastries are my weakness woi. I love taking coffee, black no sugar. It feels me in a weird way I don’t know if you have experienced that with coffee.
I would like to ask. I've watched my diet, strict. But my abdomen area doesn't seem to go down. I don't know if it's stress. I've tried intermittent fast but still nothing. I'm not keen on exercise. What other method can I take to loss weight apart from exercise.
thanks for the share, but the diet journey seems very hardcore! you almost giving up everything and having to eat all the none fan stuff. But i guess that the way to maintain an intense weight loss. ;(

Hey,what do you when you have weight stalls.
This is an amazing video...it's true having home cooked meals really helps to know the contents of the meal
How can I stop taking too much bread? I need some healthy meal to replace it
Esmo Fashion You can replace it with spelt bread . It’s sold at village market the brood for 400 bob.
@@FashionableStepMum Thank you will try it soon when I visit village Market. Can I get it at Two Rivers Mall?
TRY ngwachi,nduma, previous night's food
You could still take bread, just bake it with gluten free flour. The flour is available in most supermarkets across the country.
@@christinenjogu Thank you i have tried ngwace/nduma but am not consistent so when Hakuna I go back to buy the bread
