Dog House Build Part 2

Every day that passes the more important it is for me to get this dog house finished. The dog house is now in its permanent location as the build continues. The final step is to finish the roof and siding.

I wish I could remember. At the time I used all Pressure Treated lumber but honestly the inside 2x4's don't need to be PT lumber.

Won't the wood shrink, leaving gaps and causing a drafty house?

I haven’t seen a bit of shrinkage and it’s been through 3 years of rainy winters. If there I did see shrinkage I would have simply installed some 1x4 or 1x3’s inside the house over the gaps... kinda like board and batten. But so far so good.

Watching it now years after making that dog house I agree. It does sound that way. He did pass last year due to an aggressive bone cancer so my opinions may be a bit bias.
