I was born in 1959 and my brother and I went to the fair 26 times .. thank you so much for this, I forgot all about everything that came after the scenes from the homes and I remember those WELL .. this was our favorite ride because it was free and it hit me at the part where you walk into the sky dome, the reason I didn't remember that was because I couldn't read yet! Anyway, seeing the pictures and hearing what the families had to say brought back a lot of memories! What a great place the fair was!
I went in'65 with my parents--still remember "It's a great big wonderful tomorrow"--almost fell over to see that Disney has resurrected it in ads for the re-opening of its theme parks!

The advertisement at 42:08 is from 1958 and probably reused the audio since GE still had their Filter Flo washers around this time and still had similar features to the 1958 GE Filter Flo washer except they went to a perforated tub in 1961 compared to the solid tub Filter Flo washers from the mid 50’s to 1960.
A man named Ray Dashner (now deceased) recorded the audio portion of dark rides, movies, and other presentations at the Fair, using a portable reel-to-reel machine. He sold CD copies of the sound files to members of the www.worldsfaircommunity.org/ website.

This was my favorite attraction at Disneyland it's not the same anymore, Disneyland has lost its charm.
