@@sportbiketrackgear and I love your sense of humor with those lovely “gifts” you’ve been receiving. Lol. As I always say, “if you can’t laugh at yourself, make fun of other people.” Haha

Awesome review. Have my OGIO MACH 3 and was thinking of going Mach 5.. but after this.. maybe I’ll try an alpinestars backpack again. Thanks for the review!
What is the storage capacity of the pack? In the video description I see that the expansion increases size by 4.5L. When talking about a container the first thing I always want to know is size.
Expanded it fits a pair of Daytona Road Star Eur Size 43 with a bit to spare if you put them in the right way ... Stiffer plastic boots (off road style) I am not so sure would fit
Are there any backpacks you know of that can fit a helmet inside of it not with that outside style? I want one for work, I work in a factory where plating dust is flying around so I want to keep my helmet as covered as possible.
I came back from the local store about 10 minutes ago after buying this back pack, but I had no idea it was a new model. Because I am getting older and stiffer with limited range of motion in my shoulders, especially when wearing a heavy, leather, motor cycle jacket, I was looking for an easy-on, easy-off backpack and this was the only one that fit the bill. All together it feels like a good piece of kit, and I really like that you can add a decent back protector. A couple of things I have already noticed: a) Any of the two (detachable) pockets on the side strap can fit not only a phone but an entire a Garmin XT which is great. They also easily fit a GoPro camera with bits and pieces b) The upper level strap adjusters tended to snag the edge of my helmet when I turned my head, which was a bit annoying. Will have to see if I can fix that. Here in France you can get the back pack for 113 euro ..
Just got my MACH5 only to find it’s way too small to fit my 17” laptop… is this backpack big enough for a 17.3” Laptop? At first glance it does seem longer than the mach5
How durable is it ? I daily to work .. so far the Sedici T2 Sicilia Backpack is the only one that lasted me more than 6 months ... hell it's about to be 1 year. From stuffing my work uniform to picking up wine after work .. I "use" use it
I would expect this to last for years. We have some Astars packs we use that are several years old now. Sedici is a house brand for Revzilla and Cycle Gear. Not a top end brand like Astars. - Van

Hi. Thank you for the excellent review and after seeing your review on the Astars Charger Pro, I got one for myself. Just a quick question, is there anyway we can install a hydration bladder in this backpack?
That’s literally what brought me back to this video after already owning it. Maybe in the section where the back pad is? I ride tech air so for me the piece isn’t in anyway. Or just use the laptop pocket maybe?
Sorry I do not have the dimensions for the pocket which makes it hard to say for sure. That said the pocket is quite large and I would be surprised if it did not fit. - Van
Not sure about the helmet holder. Not a fan of backpacks, although this looks good quality. I have a Kriega R25. Similar chest fastening to this one. That is the Kriega's best feature, so I imagine the Charger is a good one.
I have an addiction to motorcycle backpacks. I've owned 3 Alpinestars backpacks with the last one being the Tech Aero. They're decent quality and get the job done. Let's face it. Alpinestars backpacks look cool. Alpinestars backpacks are not bomb-proof though. If you're willing to spend a lot more money, I'd buy either Kriega or Velomacchi.
It is another layer on your back and will be a little warmer. They do have a spacer fabric on the back to reduce this affect as much as possible. - Van
Pretty slick pack. Helmet carrier is a great idea but looks like it could be beefed up a bit. The whole pack seems perfect for something to contain all your gear in the break room at work, but I don't think I'd trust it for walking around at a college campus.
@@sportbiketrackgear the issue I'd have with it is when you're in a class and have to put your bag on the floor. I've got the airflow version myself and honestly it needs to be like 70+ or youll get cold(unless your one of those ppl that wear shorts in winter, or are cold blooded). It seriously flows ALOT of air, even fully zipped. It's my first leather jacket and I was shocked by the airflow. Of course since it's leather, its not something to be standing around in, in direct sun light. Or you'll roast. Was about 75-80 here yesterday and I stopped by a friends in 10-15 mins I was sweating bad with it on. Once I got going again, within a half mile I was cooled back down. Only gripes are the chest and back protectors aren't easy to install. It's got the attachment points for an Astars back protector with straps or just the 59 or 79 KRi back protectors. It's got a pocket for those. The chest protectors will push anything you have in your left chest pocket into your chest. But its a race fit jacket, so it's tight, then adding additional armor adds bulk. It's not too bad with a phone in your pocket there. It's a comfortable jacket. I like it. With all the armor, the elbows, chest and back plus the jacket. It probably weighs 5-6lbs. I haven't had it long, but I really like it.
The time taken to talk about the inside was minimal.. Camera did not show any of it. backpack was facing up or down all the time. Lift and show the camera please. More explanation on the strapping adjustments and exactly how a magnet is strong enough to hold this thing to your body without breaking loose...
The magnet is used only to help the clip engage, once that happens it will not pull apart. The inside of the pack is huge, big enough for a full size lap top with a ton of other stuff. You would easily carry enough stuff in this for an overnight trip if you wanted to. - Van
I use the helmet carrier on my City Hunter. It works great other than the fact you gotta be careful not to smack anything behind you. Gotta pretend like you have the fattest ass imaginable lmao This seems very much like the City Hunter but just rigid.
