Does the head have counterbalance spring compensation so that if you point the camera down and then release the handle, will the tilt change due to gravity? The best heads just stay where they are pointed when the handle is released without having to lock it. I'm surprised you didn't mention that.

Yes but luckily I just use a quick release system for that. I hope this helps

I actually think SmallRigs 4 digits numbering system is very good. Especially since there are a lot of version for the same Product like with NATO rail, ARRI mount or coldshoe... I don't see any problem with this. Also this tripods exists in various versions. Good luck finding the one you are looking for only from the preview pictures.

Lol, there's a lot more than just 4 numbers. All most companies need is 2 letters and 2 numbers and they have model number combinations for 67,600 products. I agree with him, stop with the goofy naming. Use internal UPC codes if you wanna slap model numbers to every screw and bolt. Consumers don't care about that sht.
I have this tripod. For some reason there's a little "play" in the ball head going left to right... even when that little knob at the bottom of the head (by the bubble) that controls the tension of left to right movement is all the way locked down. There's like 1/4" worth of wiggle and I'm not sure why. :/
I would inspect it closely and see if there's a way you can tighten it and if not return it for a refund. That's unacceptable for a tripod
Those leg locks are sturdy as they are new, give it some time and those bolts that the leg locks screw into will break guaranteed. Regret my purchase in only 3 wedding shoots.

We have a spending problem.
Good video editing, but this is a bad tripod, really bad. I bought it based on many good reviews like yours, this tripod is not heavy-duty, not by a long shot! It came with one latch already broken, with a 3kgr camera pan and tilt became horribly uneven, the pan adjustment could only go from completely loose to impossible to move, and many other little thing... I just don´t understand how so many youtubers says is a great product, is just crap. And I know is cheap, but nobody says "Hey, is just an entry level tripod, it will break in a couple years top, and don´t try anything too fancy with it, ibut is cheap!" NO, they say is fantastic,... well,... is not. If you have EVER tried a real tripod, do not buy this crap.
Possibly brands are sending the better batches to reviewers so the have a kinder point of view or being selected for a free sample has a bigger impact in their opinions that what they will really admit to themselves, don´t blame them.
But this is manufactured crap, please try this product in a real world situation and don´t be afraid of saying bad things
I literally said a minute into the video that "for the price, it is well built" which is what I experienced with the tripod I RECIEVED. If you got a bad one that sucks, then return it. I'm not going to change the way I talk about products just because one guy in my comments said he got a bad one. I've never been shy about saying negative things about products on my channel and I never will. Watch more than 10 seconds of a channel before you pass judgement.

Well my jugdement is not on you perse, but on the product, I still think is a really bad product, of course I returned it, you said "for the price is weel built it" but never adressed the shortcoming it has, and what what it should have to be an actual proffesional tripod, yet, is not my intend neither to critize you as an individual, nor your channel, I was trully talking about the whole system of reviewers that in this case, fail as a system, trully. About seeing more of 10 seconds, before critizing I saw this enire video...
Your channel btw as a grand total of 0 videos about tripods... yet you put your opinion about a tripod in a video like it´s worth it, (opinion and tripod) like you´d know or something, so you´ll have to be open to my critics, like,... How many other tripods in this range did you tried before talking about this one that, surprise, fell in your hands for free? how many proffesioinal shooting have you tested in? what kind of abuse did you put into it? you just read the list of features and little more,.... that´s my complain, and I know is valid because your analisys lacks proficency and knoledge, sorry,it´s true.
