  • The Dutch Swing College Band 1965 Willie The Weeper: recorded live at the Sportpallast Berlin being the 20 Year Jubilee Concert and released under "20 Years DSCB" Willie the Weeper is a song about drug addiction, written by Frankie "Half-Pint" Jaxon in 1927. It is the basis for Cab Calloway's Minnie the Moocher.     Wonderful time I got married that year!! Great music all over the place, a little omission is probably Jan Morks but they could not stand each other (Peter and Jan).

    Another fabulous non-American band!
    Thank you ulajazz for this, and the Chris Barber recordings.
    They got me started and, at 78, I still love playing and listening to them.
    AQnd, I am still playing this stuff, on my double bass!
