The atmosphere on set was electric-Denis Villeneuve, our director, had a clear vision that honored the original while pushing boundaries in a new direction. His attention to detail was astounding, and it made the world we were building feel incredibly real. The sets were massive and meticulously designed, evoking a futuristic yet decaying Los Angeles that was both haunting and beautiful. Walking onto those sets in full costume felt like being transported into another reality, one where the line between human and machine was blurred and questioned at every turn. Working alongside Harrison Ford was surreal. He’s a legend, and having the opportunity to act alongside him, especially in scenes that explored the complex relationship between our characters, was something I’ll never forget. (Zillennials are born 1997-2002) This sub culture or aesthetic mixed 90s/80s with new age culture. I like to think it was another sub of Cyberpunk. The music usually sounds space-y, floaty, and nostalgic.Zillennials and Millennials are doomers so most of vaporwave has a dystopian futuristic sound. The clothing however were a mix of 80s-90s and mid 2010 clothings. I agree that resonance is vaporwave but with stranger things and memory reboot I'd argue that's synthwave. Vaporwave is psychedelic and "experimental" which is why it sounds so floaty whereas synthwave specifically tries to invoke 80s nostalgia with how it's composed. Though with that said they can have a mixture of both types of composition and sit in a middleground.
