It's good, but leave the meat in strips or put on a stick so it don't fall through grating. You'll have to tweek it to your taste a little on the salt, and sugar, but it's really good. I'd start off on the lesser salt first go because the soy has salt also

I'll take fresh meat any day over processed. Looked great to me. And for the ones complaining about how sharp the knife is y'all are more than welcome to send them some sharp ones instead of crying over it. Grown folks acting like baby's lord have mercy. For the French classic dish turtle soup green sea turtle is a protected species. Soft shells would be a close alternative. The broth is made from the fat inside of shell with small cubed pieces of meat and if it's a female the undeveloped eggs (just the yolks). Are soft shell turtles farmed? Are cooters and/or snappers farmed?

do people who eat softshell turtle in the US ever eat the shell? when i see chinese cooks making softshell turtle, they braise the shell along with the meat, and they eat the outer, softer "skirt" part of the shell. apparently it is very rich in collagen so requires a long braise to get the right texture for eating, but its pretty common to hear asian folks say that the turtle skirt is their favorite part of the turtle to eat. every time i click on a USA softshell turtle cooking video, im hoping to see folks eating the shell and describing it a bit in english, from an american perspective, but i never see anyone actually cooking or eating it.

@fredericksharon7494 Gotcha. Turtles can be pretty gross. Lots of fluid inside. Our Videos WILL NOT get reach if we put it all on there. Done tried. While this was a cleaning video, our focus was not really cleaning, it was more the cooking end and showing a new recipe people could use on various meats.

After killing the turtle, did you pour boiling water on it to clean it? Prevents spreading bacteria. My grandpa did it that way. Born in 1883, in high Appalachians, he would make today's survivalists look like amateurs.😊 otherwise good video

Thanks for watching. We try our best to be sensitive to all viewers, and we hope everyone enjoys our videos. This wouldn't be the first one that's been demonetized that's for sure. In our opinion, no video dealing with cleaning, cooking, and eating should be demonetized because it's a natural way of survival and putting food on the plate.
