So I try while I don’t understand and I always hit the water super hard and always catch the edges. Thank you for being so clear with the feet and heels being slightly lifted. Hey Jb, whats the key to backside rotations? I can do the surface 360, 180 frontside and backside. Also ollie and kicker frontside rotations. But it seems like whenever I try to do backside rotation on a box, or trying an ollie backside 180 I block myself (/body). Someone told me that my handle position might be wrong (should do the pull at knee height not at the hips), but then again, I do not know what to change really.

Most of these how to's for cable tricks come down to having good, stable board control. And that of course comes with many hours of riding and experimenting. Other than that, just like JB says - don't be a pussy and try it as there isn't a big science behind it. Of course, these videos are very clear and helpful in keeping things in mind.

You can use fins, but I normally don’t on the cable. And yeah totally possible on a jet ski

Do you need to be in the centre of the cable to do this trick, or can it be done when you are at the edge ?

Maybe a board with less rocker, try a hyperlite murray

I know, it sounds weird, but for me, a surface 360 is more scary, than the 360 off a kicker. Surface 360 is more of an edge cathing trick.
