Ev'ry Time I Feel the Spirit arr. William Dawson

The Iowa Wesleyan Chapel was filled with lovely music on April 25th, 2010, as the Iowa Wesleyan College Choirs joined with the Mt. Pleasant Chorale under the conductorship of Dr. Jamie Spillane. The program entitled From Salzburg to Selma was a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon.

I have always loved the Dawson version of this spiritual. They did a very good job with it. I really loved the dynamics of the piece. The only thing or choir did differenty that I liked was to really slow it down until the very end, then speed it back up on I will pray. But they did a great job. Do they even call them Negro Spirituals anymore?
