Can't go wrong with oak and leather. That's a good looking chair. One of the things I enjoy about your videos is watching you adjust your methods and processes as you go. Constantly looking to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and learning what works and what doesn't. Thanks for sharing!

After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans ruclips.net/user/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!

Does anyone else, every single time he does slow motion, get the feeling like we are about to watch something go horribly wrong? 🤣
Not a sleight against Jimmy, I think he is the King. I think I just watch to many slow mo videos of stuff blowing up

Great build Jimmy! I especially liked how you clamped them left and right sides together while they dries so they would mirror each other and the way you made the leather templates. Two more items for my mental tool bag!

Fun idea: I wonder how the tenon joint would look if the tenon still had the curvature of the blade? Using this tenon technique of course. The mortise would bring some interesting chiseling challenges. 🤨

Two questions about the chair (which is REALLY nice!)
    1) Without any other support won't the middle of the leather seat stretch/sag over time?
    2) You glued the leather to the supports, but as the wood was already finished doesn't this significantly diminish the glue strength?

    • @jimmydiresta
