Cheers for watching chooms! Hope you enjoyed this video and look into another country outside of America in the Cyberpunk universe. Let me know what else you’d like to see!
Would love a video about the state of Africa in Cyberpunk. I know in the lore it’s become sort of a technological and social paradise. Think wakanda but for the whole continent due in no small part to the orbital and space industries on the continent going back to the formation of the EEC. Even in 2077 we see ads for Somalia and other African countries I believe portraying them as paradise on earth.
It’s pretty funny if you live in England hearing that nomads are in Englands countryside, if you know anything about the English countryside side it’s that it’s not exactly wide open spaces with space for nomadic tribes to wander. They would be “roaming” for 5 minutes before they come across a quaint village or an impassable hedge.
I was under the notion that most of that old, small, low-density population centre spread had fallen to the corporations at the very beginning and either paved over by industrial parks or left to become ghost towns as folk were forced to either work and live in urban factories or starve. This forced displacement of peoples from their original, natural habitat by corporation influence is one of the main themes of Cyberpunk 2020 and onwards.
It's very much written from an American's limited understanding of the UK. In actuality the nomads would literally just be normal countryside Englishmen who'd have their own independent government, due to having control of the vast production of food in the UK, so imagine the countryside looking like the Shire from LoTR with border control against the cities.

Its been a long time since I read my old CP2020 books (especially Eurosource), but I find it amazing how the developers practically predicted real events. With the EEC going from an economic coalition to a totalitarian ruling body (looking at you E.U.), to the veritable collapse of the Royal Family once Charles became king.
In what possible way could the EU be considered a "totalitarian" entity? As for the royal family collapsing, there also appears to be a stark lack of evidence to point towards that happening. High fashion and glitz & glam are practically the cultural norm. Those that aren't rich, try to fake it. Anyone who looks like a 'streetkid' is essentially a second-class citizen.
You guys really know how to cram a lot of areas of land into such a small couple of islands lol
I really hope in Project Orian, if it's a truly massive open world sequel to cyberpunk 2077, they introduce a British gang into Night City. A gang of futuristic anarchists/punks that would make Silverhand blush
What you on about? That introduction is just Stoke on Trent...
"Scotland were the first to have enough and had a growing taste for nationalism" like seriously how you didn't make any witty comments about our Scotland being the same, hats off.
"weird" isn't quite the word I'd use for Prince Andrew...
Having just introduced a British antagonist to my cyberpunk red game, I really appreciate this video. Now I need one on France for a player’s character background…
The Prince Andrew jokes 😂😂😂
Love that pizza express reference mate 😂😂😂
Are you going to do more content about countries in the Cyberpunk world?
to me the cyberpunk UK experience is the flashback and early story of the mindstar trilogy by Hamilton
I have yet to hear anything about Canada in the cyberpunk lore. Right next to NUSA must have some good stories.
Interestingly you're LESS likely to get stabbed in 2077 London.
This was awesome thank uou for putting it together. I know for a fact I would be a nomad in this scenario
Awedome video!
