    wrestlers back in the day had to hide injuries mainly bc if u didn’t work u didn’t get paid
    If ur hiding major injuries now when $$ is guaranteed & u work at a company that has u wrestling 1 day a week than that’s just on u Lmaoo
    It’s not like u were in the running for a world title run
    It ain’t that serious Dax trust me

      Still seemed like they wrestled safer to avoid unnecessary injuries as best as they could. You didn’t see them doing high unnecessary spots onto glass and junk. They knew if they didn’t work that they wouldn’t get paid. In other words they didn’t seem to take risky bumps like these wrestlers do now since they have guaranteed contracts. If they had the stipulation that if you don’t work you don’t get paid, I bet they’d cut back on the high flying stuff and the dangerous or unnecessary spots. AEW is very guilty of letting the wrestlers do whatever they want.

      Tbf, the leg drop is a huge reason why his backer is fucked. Your back landing on a hard mat for 30+ years is gonna mess you up. It’s why the leg drop is a dumb move. It hurts you more than your opponent and It doesn’t even look that great

    Kenny did the same shit. Didn't get his gut pain checked out and it ended up being much worse than expected. That not only took him off the road but messed up a current storyline. Shame on Dax. It'll be hard to enjoy the guys work if he retires early due to stupidity.

    Disco Inferno was more popular than Dax ever will be, plus Disco held 4 titles in WCW and was number 85 of 500 on PWI list in 1999. Why does FTR Gun have to be taken off tv amd can't have a singles run?

    Willful blindness matters here. That AEW leadership wasnt aware of this or that wrestler's injury is moot; the thrust of the criticism is that AEW actively doesn't discourage stupid high risk spots, and then want to act surprised when they get hurt and/or injuries are downplayed

    Dax used to be a voice of reason but he went from being a CM Punk and Cornette Guy to being one of the indy goofs.
    Seriously Dax Is legitimately one of the best in ring workers out there why the hell is he doing a piledriver through a ladder in the 1st place. That's a spot that a Darby Allin or Dante Martin would do not a traditional southern wrestler like Dax should be doing.

    Man, Dax has fallen so far from grace with me and many other as of late. Phenomenal talent, but his twitter and social media activity in the last year or so has not helped him in any way. Sure sometimes he is defending himself but he definitely is losing it... I guess enough social media will do that to you.

      That's all beside the point of even showing that i care by responding or prove that my feelings beeing hurt by giving emocional response as public person. If i put out on social media that i did something stupid and irresponsible either i put negative critiqe on my chin, ignore it or not doing it in the 1 place.
      Learning how to stand up for yourself is another way of saying you are learning to be more assertive. Assertiveness is the ability to clearly communicate how you feel and what you need in a calm open style.

    Gotta do what you gotta do. I just started a new job. If I got hurt but could still work, I wouldn't be dumb enough to say anything. Wouldn't be worth the risk getting laid off or otherwise losing my spot because that happens more often than not, so I completely understand why wrestlers work hurt until they absolutely can't.

    I missed this part of the Show yesterday so I had to listen to it again. I agree that no matter if I'm a Fan of them or not I don't want to see them walking around injured or get hurt.
    At the same time he doesn't need to be chirping at Disco Inferno just because Disco who I agree is an idiot said something that most people with a brain can see that AEW isn't the safest place in the World.

    Dax Harwood!!! One thing ive learned growing up with him in North Carolina, wrestling is everything to him, all wrestlers no matter WWE, AEW,ECW, WCW, worked hurt because if you take time off you lose your spot. Look at steve austin, hulk hogan triple h, when you are in a sport full of some alpha male or pre modona type you are going to try to show youre the toughest around. Hope hes ok!!!

    They can be on guaranteed contracts, but contracts expire… and if you’re desperate to get that next contract and you miss 6-8 months leading into negotiations and aren’t actively involved in a storyline… you don’t think that injury is going to effect the value or interest the company has in you? You think that’s crazy? You should know better.

    I respect the heck out of Dax because you don't see that much loyalty, especially nowadays with people, but I am not condoning what he did to his own body because of it because his health matters more than a single wrestling show. Plus, with Disco Inferno, he doesn't have a leg to stand on because I agree with what Vee Infuso said about him, where he said, "your whole career has been a joke, since you leeched off of other wrestler's popularity, never making a career of your own." So, why should we care what the moron says?
