Haha we tried, his first experience fishing was for fresh water barramundi with a twitch lure so you had reel it in. Sitting and waiting is not his cup of tea 😅
I mentioned a few episodes I used to go to Lake Bonney many years ago. It's unbelievable that the water is that high. We used to catch a lot of red fin fish in the Murray River. I'd love to back there one day when we get back to Oz for a holiday. Your episodes are bringing back so many memories. Thanks 😀 😊
Your welcome, probably still one maybe 2 more episodes for this area, now we have the car back will get out and see how the water is affecting the other towns too
Thank u for the video family. We planned a holiday there with friends next month, but got the phone call I was expecting but hoping not to get that the park was closing unti mid January at least
@@Ourwhittleadventure looked bad, many elderly in the local hospital as there power is still out. Trees, sheds, aviary, fences plus definitely more. Enjoy the Riverland, it's great to see a family posting all the nice places.
Yeh so do we, all the ones here in the riverland SA are fine at the moment, theyve had a lot of time to prepare but there is still a lot of water to come
@@Ourwhittleadventure Not sure if you realise what Lake Bonney is famous for. There is a memorial for Donald Campbell who attempted the world water speed record in 1964. ruclips.net/video/UnSbz9oToLk/видео.html&ab_channel=K7ProjectBluebird
Yeh we have been down to thr blue bird cafe, they have heaps of articles and photos up and street name in the park is named after him too. Pretty cool history!
Landcruiser, i had/have an electrical problem but found something much worse, will cover that a bit more in depth in its own video for those that sre interested
@@Ourwhittleadventure :) as I messaged on Insta the other day. hope its ok for the Aust day long weekend:) not holding my breath though with what still has to comedown the river
Wow I can't believe how high the water is 🤯 normally the water is 0.5 to 1 m below the jetty
Thanks for sharing 👍
Yeh we were jumping off it not long ago.
Next weeks episode we head out to see the floodwaters around the area, will hopefully be a good episode
I grew up in bsrmera. The jetty use to be square.
We use to watch the fireworks down at the lake.
Thank you for showing our piece of paradise
Oh right, square jetty would of been cool! Such a beautiful area
Wow all that water! And more storms! But yet again guy's another great episode of your adventures!!! Enjoy and stay DRY!!!
Cheers buddy! Storm was insane, weather has now improved though!

Gosh I hope for that beautiful towns sake the waters don't rise to high! Look forward to see where you head to next.
Yeh not sure whats going to happen here, we will be gone before it gwts too high here
Thanks again for another enjoyable video. Last time we stayed at Lake Bonney there was a infestation of large mozzies
That doesn’t surprise me actually, some of them are really big! Theyve not been too bad to deal with but they are definitely around
Thank u for the video family. We planned a holiday there with friends next month, but got the phone call I was expecting but hoping not to get that the park was closing unti mid January at least
Yeh it is sad to see it closed, works happening to try and protect it so hopefully it will come back online sooner then that
Great video and new subscriber I'm in berri hospital at the moment and I'm seeing pictures off loveday storm last weekend.
That storm the other day was incredible, trees uprooted, power out and we in Barmera only copped the edge of it

Feel for those affected.
Came in so suddenly too, no warning.
Hope you continue to enjoy the videos!
You both did a great job entertaining without the car! 😊
Fascinating watching the water level rise- I feel bad for the communities impacted though. X

All that water 😮 glad the 100 didn’t have major issues 👍🤙
Thankfully!
I grew up there during the 70's and we had a big flood in 74. Think this one may be a bit bigger.
Yeh depends on which forecast you listen to at the moment.
Fingers crossed it doesn’t eventuate to that level
