Thanks for the introduction to your clamp meters. Which one of these would you recommend for measuring motor inrush current up to a 55 kW motor rating?

Hi I’m assuming the 55Kw motor has about 45A per phase normal running current. Typical inrush current may be 5 to 8 times this. So 225A to 360A which would be well within the 600A range of an F200 range clamp.

@@ChauvinArnouxUK Thanks for the feedback, been looking a bit more at these today and may move up to a 400 series unit that can measure power factor as well, as I have another experiment I would like to try with that kind of clamp.

@three-phase562 The F205 will measure PF but the F406 and more so the F407 with its harmonic measurement and communication interface are our best sellers.

Hmmm I don't mean to nit pick but if you are going to recommend these models I really appreciate what they can do but most importantly I want to know price so I can compare apples with apples. If you units are more expensive or cheaper I want to know why,

Hi and thanks for the comment. We definitely understand the need to know the pricing when considering these clamps. The dilemma with putting them on the video is that they are only valid for 2025, whereas the video will be up for years, and many resellers discount anyway. I have put 2 links below that will take you to pages with the clamps on that are probably the most competitively priced.
