Good video ... but definitely missed the part where you said the dark (black) was a limited edition. They should make this color a standard option. I would never by a white appliance whose sole purpose is to pull dirt out of the air. It will look filthy so fast.
Good video! Unfortunately I decided to return mine after 4 months. First units AQI sensor wasn't working, even with burnt toast tests right next to it, and second unit's carbon monoxide sensor kept going off despite no carbon monoxide readings from a dedicated Kidde detector. The product has a lot of potential but still has a long way to go!
Oh man. Sorry to hear that. Hate when a product has potential but ends up having defects. Very frustrating specially since there are definitely units like mine that work well.
Does it suck air through the top? Also ...I use my airfryer on the deck at my place. If that's not an option, try putting it under the stove vent! I'm super sensitive to cooking smoke and intense smells ( asthma)
Air is sucked through the sides (and bottom I believe) and is blown up through the top. Smart with the air fryer, I had no idea just how much that thing messed up the air quality until the Mila recorded the data on it.
Get it off the ground, you're going to have a very short filter lifespan right on the carpet. And you'll clear the air you care about faster if it's on a short table.
When we cook or our air is really dirty, it does get pretty loud. I’d compare it to a washing machine or dryer but it’s usually in your living space. Most of the time you pretty much can’t hear it.
Good over all review BUT, you opened the video with exactly what I’m trying to battle, all that dust and fur and stuff floating in the sunshine in bedroom, i was hoping you would speak to that specifically and show an “after” shot of less crap floating in the air. Don’t have allergies but do have cats and just wanna capture all that stuff in the air!v
Hi Misterfung, thanks for commenting. I definitely should have included an after-shot of the floating dust. The air-purifier has done a good job of clearing out the residual dust and floating stuff out of the air. However, we have found that our dogs still have dust and dirt on their fur that gets transferred right to blankets and things like that. Overall it's been a big improvement in air quality, but has not completely eliminated the dust! Hope that helps.
@@RealwithRyan that’s a pretty reasonable reality. What I hope to do if I get one is have it running full blast in the room while I shake and spread my blankets when doing the bed in the morning and hope/see that all the turbulence from blankets and milas fan will keep the crap moving until it has a chance to settle on the perimeter and get sucked through and captured. lol I dunno. Just wanna feel less “OMG THE HAIR AND DUST!!” every time I make the bed. Lol.
BUYER BEWARE! I bought two and both broke right outside of warranty. Go figure. And of course they are sorry but won't do anything. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
@RealwithRyan definitely is a shame bc these are not inexpensive. I feel at that price point it's a heavy investment for most people. We've filled our house with plants instead.
@@BrandonRyan If your in the US I think it’s the 5500. Which is cheaper and filters are cheaper. Mila filters are expensive and need to be replaced twice a year. There were also build issues with the Mila from memory. Also Mila hasn’t been properly tested for it’s CADR like the Winix which has been independently verified.
thank you for the great review on the Mila, there was a lot of information that I was looking for that you went over.
Glad you enjoyed!
Helpful video. Thanks! We are going to order one today.
We just ordered one with the big sneeze filter because i have terrible asthma and my town gest really bad air quality so im excited! 🎉
Hope it works well for you!

Yeah, I didn’t even realize it was a limited edition. I agree with you 100%. They should always have a black version

Bro it’s raining lint in your room. Where the hell do u live, silent hill
A place with carpet and a whole lot of dogs
But the Mila helped FR
Thanks for informative video.
Can you put the Mila in one room and it work also in the room next door if the connecting doors are open? Thanks
I believe it works decently well but it depends on if there is any airflow between the rooms and also how large the rooms are!
@@RealwithRyan thanks once again. I’ve ordered two so hopefully I will be pleased. 😊

Great review 👏
Thank you!
Yeah, I needed to see this too.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for your video
Thanks for watching!
Do you use Home Assistant and does this integrate with it?
I’m not sure if it does. I don’t use home assistant at the moment

Good to know! Haven’t considered what surface it’s sitting on and how that might affect performancez
Have you had any weird issues with the thermometer on it taking weird readings?
I haven’t noticed anything strange with the thermometer! But I’ll be honest that I haven’t paid much attention to the temperature aspect of it.
Good review!
Thank you!
It's really loud. Is it that loud, or is it the camera?
When we cook or our air is really dirty, it does get pretty loud. I’d compare it to a washing machine or dryer but it’s usually in your living space.

Sort of helpful... mines keeps detecting high humidy levels for some reason... I live in Scotland, the air is humid all round 😂.
Haha, well I guess it isn’t wrong
@@RealwithRyan ahaaa yeah, it's when it says danger for mould, leads me to panic. Then I remember oh wait, that's not a factual statement 😂
You put it too close to the wall it can’t suck the dust if it’s sucking the wall
Thanks Matthew

Dog cuddler?💜
Absolutely!
Does the Mila itself have any new plastic smells or anything? Another unboxing video the kids said it smells like a new hotel room.
I haven't experienced any smells myself with the Mila! In fact, my house has been lacking smells since I got it.
@@RealwithRyan that’s a good thing. It means it is working and actually has good carbon. Most air purifier don’t.
Hi, thanks for your video, do you need a premium subscription with the app or is it free ?
Hi Vincent! The app is completely free and included with the purchase!
BUYER BEWARE! I bought two and both broke right outside of warranty. Go figure. And of course they are sorry but won't do anything.

Ooof. That is a bummer. Definitely a good thing to keep in mind for potential buyers

All of that and your finger nails match it.
I do it for the city
$350 what a rip off. Should have got 2 winix for the same price
Haven’t heard of those but I’ll check them out!
Do you recommend a certain model or just the brand
Why and which models? The Winix I've looked at are much larger for lesser CARD performance, etc.

It does a bit. I’ve liked the aesthetic over the past year
@@RealwithRyan is it worth the purchase?
@@jdubdoubleu for my allergies, area, and dogs, I would say definitely! But it may not be worth it for everyone
It’s way too small with a CADR of only 350
That’s fairly high as CADR goes. What brands and models deliver better performance without a significant jump in cost?
@@kierand9410CADR isn’t as high as they claim. It’s equivalent to a Winix but twice the price but underperforms
