They look fantastic! I saw another RUclipsr use that same glue and I wondered if it would hold up on something that heavy but you said it's automotive glue so I suppose it really is good! Thanks for sharing! ☺
Hey, thank you for this video! I am worried I’m doing something wrong.. I tried this using the Mona Lisa sealer as a finish, but my stone is now sticky.. I did not apply a lot at all. But my stones have been sticky for a couple weeks. Did you have this problem? And if so how did you fix it?
I haven’t had this problem but someone commented that they had that issue as well a while back. I wonder if it’s related to a more humid environment, not sure though. My suggestion would be to paint a coat or 2 of clear nail polish over the sealer to see if it will get rid of the stickiness. Hope this helps 😊
It's slightly glossy but not super shiny, the more you apply the shinier it will get. I have some professionally dipped gemstones and the shine is comparable. Hope this helps.
I love this tutorial! Question: Others ask how long it lasts looking new. I saw you say surprisingly well. But could you give an estimate? If you have one? I'd just like to be honest if I make them as gifts for my clients. Thank you!
Yes, it does last a while but if you really want a good base the best way to figure that out is to make a piece for yourself and wear it constantly for a few weeks. That’s what I used to do when I had a jewelry store, that way I could detect any quality issues and fix it before selling. Hope this helps 😊
@@DeniseMathew ok thank you. Ya, I would definitely be upset if I made something and a couple weeks went by and it was already changed. Thanks for the advice!
Thank you for sharing. I'm curious about how well this method holds up over time and wear. Does the stuff start wearing away. I'm interested in unsung real silver and gold. Thanks!
+Jerilyn Stone in my experience if you seal it well, it wears well, you can always reapply sealer if you what but my stones are still in great shape and it's been a few years now. That's cool to be able to use real silver and gold, good luck with your project. 😊
I think high humidity might affect drying time with the glue. Anything that you can use to prop up the ring until it dries, will work, I’ve stuck tweezers in play dough and propped it is that way, even a popsicle stick can work, if you have a third hand that works well too. Hope this helps.😊
This was good and I've been wondering how to attach a jump ring on raw crystals and apply the gold leaf. Thanks Denise.
Denise, thank you for sharing this. I have been searching high and low for techniques to make use my tumbler stones as pendant!
Thank you so much!! I've been wanting to learn this for so long and you make it quick and simple for me! Beautiful

E 6000 may want 72 hours to be set on something! Just giving my 2 cents !
There lovely 😊 thank you for sharing ❤️🤟🏻
Thank you ! awesome. Can you use a light to cure it faster?
If you want but I found air drying works great.😊
I’m trying to do this with high end crystals and 24ct gold. Will it have same results?
This was great. Thanks so much!

This is happening for me as well. I came here to figure this out...I live in Florida and it has been raining for weeks. perhaps this is why...??
This is exactly what I needed, thank you
Thank you so much for sharing this. Question - does the sealer dry matte or gloss?

Wow so beautifull look like a pasion.❤
How did you add the metal ring in the rock?!
At 0:36 I show how to glue on a jump ring
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

Hi love, will the crystal and the gold flake be pretty water resistant? Or not really?
yes, the metal molds right to the stone and when you add that last coat or 2 of sealer it waterproofs it and gives it a lot of stability. 😊
will using glue in that paint ruin the property of the stones?
Anayah Harris no :) energy (property)can not be ruin, only transformed 😘✌🏼
Did you eventually try modge podge as the sealant?
yes, it actually works quite well, it's good to have a few coats for sure.
I have tried using this glue and it takes a long time to set. How did you keep the jump ring in place overnight to set?
I think high humidity might affect drying time with the glue. Anything that you can use to prop up the ring until it dries, will work, I’ve stuck tweezers in play dough and propped it is that way, even a popsicle stick can work, if you have a third hand that works well too. Hope this helps.😊
and just to make sure I understand, you first glue the jump ring on top of the crystal with the E6000 glue? (and let it dry overnight)?
yes, the longer the loop has to dry the better it stays in place.
Doesn't the jump ring come off easily..
As long as you leave the glue dry for 24 hours after you apply the jump ring it stays on really well. Hope this helps😊
Can you use a silver flake?
Absolutely any color leaf will work, I’ve even seen copper colored leaf which would look really nice. 😊
You're so kind to share your videos❤️🌈🤓
+Ginanadia thanks so much, glad you liked it 😊
Hi! What is the sealer called ?
Mona Lisa www.speedballart.com/our-product-lines/mona-lisa-meta-leaf/mona-lisa-metal-leaf-adhesives-fluids-tools/
Sopra ci va messa una protezione perché non di ossidi la foglia oro ? Grazie
You don't need a cap just the gold leaf will work and the gold leaf doesn't oxidize if you put a sealer over it. Hope this answers your question.😊
+Denise Mathew grazie👍
Just wanted to know how long the gold leaf lasts, does it go dull and start to peel off after a while? Thanks for the video 😁
it actually lasts a long time in my experience, and it doesn’t peel off, but adding an extra coating of sealer will add extra protection.
Thank you 🙂
Is this waterproof?? Or in water will pill of?
If you coat it with sealer or clear nail polish it should be waterproof. Hope this helps.😊
Beautiful
Won't the bail fall of over time?
It actually is quite stable if you put a lot of layers of foil
thanks for the share video 👍
Cool
GORG..THANKS FOR SHARING
