Thanks for the kind words! Just keep working at it! We are all on the journey. We all see guys doing stuff we can’t quite do yet but want to. I do it every day! Was watching gsharp last night and Jakob slash and they were so good! Just keep chipping away at it. 🎸🤘🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks man! I think this is my favorite LP - 50s unburst for Wildwood. It just plays like butter and is a good weight 9lbs on the dot. The top is beautiful but difficult to capture on video due to reflections and such. Very dynamic top that can look super flamed from one angle and very mild from anther. Thanks man

It’s definitely quite possible to get some seriously great tones with thing, even at very low volume. This is still pretty much bedroom volume, maybe just slightly loud enough to bother a family member ha.

hi dude, i’ve been watching more and more of your videos to learn his style, and this is what i’m most interested in learning. when you are mixing major and minor here, how would you actually go about doing that? would you simply just learn the 2 scales then play them at different times, or do you literally mix them together? also is there a specific kind of major scale you are using in the video? thank you for taking the time for reading this if you do, youre such an inspiration to improve my guitar playing.

@@awesomegaming9845 hey man, good to hear from you again. Glad this is helping you. I have been working on this for several months now, mixing major and minor pentatonic I mean. It’s kind of essential for getting the slash vibe, and really lots of great players do it, like Clapton and Hendrix to name a few. I used to only play minor pentatonic and would get stuck. I am mostly self taught but over the last couple of years and I have subscribed to various instructional websites which has given me more skills and knowledge, but still very much a work in progress.
So to answer your question, yes ideally you need to know your minor and major pentatonic boxes / scales. I know all the minor pentatonic scales and several major ones, but haven’t memorized all of those. But, I don’t think you have to know them all perfectly to get this vibe. I’m gonna attach some links below. My most recent lesson goes over a phrase that mixes major and minor. But yea, you go back and forth between the positions but also, and this part is important, you can also just target the major notes within the minor scale (or the other way around). So if you’re in position one of A minor pentatonic you can target the major notes within it and then kind of weave in and out of major / minor notes in a fluid Melodic way. Now of you’re playing to a backing track the song needs to have some major chords in it so this sounds good. Take for example the progression of knocking on heavens door or paradise cite, those are great tunes for mixing. Any kind of G C D stuff, you’re kind of on southern rock territory! I don’t know all the theory of that part, that’s where I use my ear and I can hear if it’s wrong. I’ll out some links below. The first is the recent lesson I did. I realize did another one months ago that kind of goes over some of this video that you commented on. Lastly I’ll add a link to Brett papa. He’s great about mixing major and minor for rock guitar. Cheers

@@awesomegaming9845 no worries man, you’re welcome 🎸. I know how frustrating it can be when we’re trying to get better and get stuck. It still happens to me all the time man, and I just keep pushing. I’d suggest watching that Brett papa link I just sent. He’s a very clear teacher and nice guy. His teaching style works for my brain, and if I had more video production skills I’d try and do my lessons in his format. I’m actually goons watch that link now ha. I’m at home playing tonight. If you like his stuff here I’d recommend buying his mixing major and minor pentatonic course. It’s the best course I have ever used.
