The first minute was written for those in 3rd grade.
Incredible that the first minute of an iRacing tutorial is to explain why gears are needed!!
If someone needs to be TOLD why gears are needed; they do not/SHOULD NOT need to be on the service.

Someone didn't listen to what they were teaching. They're not explaining how to count up through the gears 1-6 and back down again, they're explaining what gears in a racecar transmission actually DO and how to optimally shift at the best times based on the car being driven and track being driven on. Chill
