It is also possible to stalemate with rook+king just like how it's possible with any other formation of pieces. The only difference is that it is generally faster to mate with queen+king than rook+king, which is faster than bishop+juan. It is better to promote to queen if you don't want to flex because most of the time it's faster (the exception being the very rare juan juicer promoting mate).

This is, I believe, the only real match I’ve ever seen where an alternative to the 2 move checkmate could have occurred. Of course, it didn’t, but the fact that it was even possible boggles my mind.
I honestly don't know why stockfish didn't register the move at 2:32 as a missed win for black. If they had moved their white bishop to e4, it would have literally been mate-in-one.
I bet he didn't even know that bishop to e4 would end the game, most likely he wanted just another hectic check out of desperation - and still he got the double bishop mate which is one of the most beautiful endings to any game, and that's what gave me this heart-warming, deeply satisfying feeling that you get when you see a gem randomly emerge from a pile of garbage
i want to know how a game made out of blunders would look like literally like an AI that's supposed to always do the worst moves this is what do i expect: -bongcloud opening -hanging queen -the opponent doesn't capture the queen -everyone tries to sacrifice their pieces -ends with the stalemate or lack of pieces to mate
