I think that’s a good idea also there are different tax Allowances in different provinces of Spain.
Good luck with your move and hopefully you will be enjoying life in Spain soon.

Hi Andy, it looks peaceful and picturesque . May I ask what area it is?

It is peaceful and if you like quiet walks through the countryside it is ideal. We live in a village called Arboleas in the province of Almeria. The city of Almeria is an hours drive away.

Thank you , yes we would in our retirement want more peace and quiet as opposed to busy roads where we live in a commuter town. We will plan a visit there soon. We plan to sell up our business later this year and be ready this time next year. Thank you for your videos we find them a great source of information

Don’t forget that the Spanish tax year is from January until December so you need to make sure the sale of your House (and maybe your business) needs to be completed before the end of December so that you are not liable for capital gains tax in Spain.

Thank you Andy, yes we need to get advice from a tax expert over there. It’s all going to take time but we have made a decision now to make the move rather than having a home here and a home in Spain .
