- In this video, we travel through the completed sections of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway. The completed sections were officially opened for traffic on 25 August 2022, and I travelled a day later.
While the completion date of the expressway was earlier touted to be Dusshera 2022, my estimate is that there is atleast another 6 months or more before the entire expressway is completed. At many places, excavation was still going on , which is not a good sign.

This video was shot on 26 August 2022, a day after a few sections were officially opened to the public. Drive covers all the sections where a car was allowed or where the approach road was manueverable. Looking at the progress of the Expressway it does not look like completing in less than months.

Can someone local explain how much distance/time will be saved by this expressway? As in what is the significance? This is just connecting South Karnataka districts from what I understand. Is there a plan for Trans Karnataka expressway from Bidar to Bangalore?
This road is to Mysuru in the same way Mumbai Pune expressway is to Pune. It will change Mysuru forever.

Just came from Mangalore yesterday night, I can say work from Hassan to Sakaleshpur is 80 percent complete except for the markings and minor bridges, and work in DK district from Gundya Cross to BC road is barely 40 percent complete, the leveling works are still going on but at a faster pace.

@@soorajk.v1163 true, it's very much needed. And also a railway line to Kerala from mysore via kushalnagara and Madikeri is very much the need of hour.
@@spiritofecstasy1517 now we got new international airport ie KANNUR international airport, very near to Kerala karnataka border, near to virajpet and madikeri, so if govt develops the transportation route means more development may occur in that region
