Since then I released music independently which totally changed my life so I’ve been having the craziest, busiest year of my life, all the while waiting for this to air like …… well…. This is ……… gunna be weird… 😅
This episode aired 2 Saturday's ago here in the UK! My wife said "Chinchilla's on The Voice!". That got my attention. I thought this performance was epic. I think the choice of song - a cover, was the right choice since there needs to be a familiarity for the 'blind' judges, in this round. However, I Put A Spell On You with rap? She brought the extra spice! Whilst I agree, her growth is happening, it's nothing like the astronomical pace of Ren, her brother from a different mother! She deserves big things, this will hopefully help make that happen.
She definitely did this for the exposure. She gets that , and they get to have a absolute Star lighting their stage . The show has open calls , but they also have calls buy invitations only . i' am willing to bet She is one of those . Someone some where along the way , on this show , has done their homework .
I saw that a week ago and at first in shock, cause she doesn't need these people (to tell her what and how to do with music..., she is totally ready, and have the full package) , but in reality she need the audience. That's a short way to spread her music out, in front of big crowd, that can listen and buy.
Good for her if she goes far in the competition, but their is no loos for her at this point, more ppl seeing her, more fan can out of it and she deserve it so much.
She doesn't need to be on the Voice as she's well above that level but it will give her a high TV audience exposure so that has got to help her, regardless. I hope she's allowed to do her own songs in future so as to give her career a boost as she's so creative.

we don't know at what position she performed in the blind audition. Tom Jones might already have someone in his team (even a male) he believes "fills a similar/same vocal type" so he didn't turn for her. Doesn't mean he didn't like it or believed she's bad. It's simple strategy and "big belting voices" like hers are not uncommon on The Voice anyway whether you like it or not :-) Tom Jones and Will.I.Am are very good a picking singers that are different in style, genre and vocal range.

I dunno, they do have some incredible vocal talents on this show - but I do think she’s more of an /artist/ than most. I wonder how much the show will get people discovering her existing content - I hope so as she deserves to take off regardless of how this show works out.

It is the Voice UK and it just happened. She is great talent. On the Voice US there are two of equal interest Singers Nini and Huntley. You might enjoy = In the playoffs ,Tuesday ,they both were awesome. I cannot wait to see Chinchilla progress on this show. Love Her.

When I saw she was on I thought she must be a guest or mystery singer as they have on the voice in some other countries. So was very surprised she was a contestant but as others have said, although just on tv it was recorded last year so will be interesting to see what happens.
Last winter her and thePETEbox did the blind auditions - both got through. The live shows are going to start airing. - the alien on Will i am team- thePETEbox, he is looping - and it is the longest audition clip I have ever seen. The clip is only half way over by the time he is done- it’s the second part I have never seen, And as a pro looper and now judging - tkk on bring this to mainstream will bring attention to the art form - which is cool
No worries , You should watch more of the show though it's awesome , Chinchilla has a fantastic voice but whether she wins or not i'm not sure . We're just 3 episodes in at the moment and there are 2 or 3 stronger contestants so far but i do think she might go far . A couple of years ago we had Jennifer Hudson on as a coach and she did a duet with Sir Tom you could do a reaction to which was awesome . @@zack_reacts

Might not win, not becoz she doesn't deserve it or not having the talent, but more about being the eazy artiste to sell for big label or radio. Those show are part of the money game 😛 but she is doing a short cut to be known, to reach more audience and attract more ppl on her own music wich is realy good, I love her.

The outfit comment was legit lol my mother watches this show religiously, the US version. I sent her this and she said "this can't be the audition, someone styled her!" Nope she's just that dope on her own. It was definitely a compliment.
The show was only on a couple of weeks ago, but I assume shows like this are recorded months in advance for this stage of it, at least until this gets to the stage where the public starts to get involved - so my bet would be this was recorded back in the summer. I suspect she wouldn’t do one of her own as this stage is about making an instant connection with the audience so a known song works better. Also, it leaves her original things for later in the game maybe? I’m not surprised you don’t know Olly Murs and Anne-Marie as they are big artists in the U.K. (Olly was in a completion thing like X factor I think, and has also done TV presenting), but I would have expected you to know Tom Jones even though he’s a lot older than you might be familiar with. I was like you with a big grin on my face watching her though - it feels like wishing the best for a sister or at least a friend. Apparently Chinchilla’s dad is a famous actor - I do think I vaguely recognise him in this but they are clearly focusing on her mother/daughter relationship more to tug at the heart strings.
