His pain tolerance must be infinite cause there’s no way adrenaline just covered all of that.

The thing about the guy in first place is that 3 years before he did all that crazy stuff, he stepped on a landmine and lost his ability to walk completely. He was prepared to be medically discharged from the army when he decided to crawl out of his bed every night, propping up against walls and taught himself to walk again. It took him a year and and an unbelievable amount of pain, so much so that he used to cry because it.

another crazy thing about benavidez is that a couple years before this in the beginning of the war he stepped on a land mine and was hospitalized and told he would never walk again, and then spent a year in the hospital and WALKED out of the hospital. this just adds to an already insanely impressive life as told in the video

There was, search his name, the witness was the radioman who he thought already died. Only after they confirmed it with his testimony that he got the Medal of Honor.
