Hi i hope you read this someday: what they actually do is use a over-pressure to prevent atmospheric air from entering the package. The air that enters the package is aseptic (air that has been heated to a high temperature to kill bacteria). hope this helps in your understanding.

I think tetra needs to also work on recycling of tetra packs because these packs are super tough. I've seen dedicated plants that handle tetra packs only, more of those please

They basically get shredded into very tiny bits and those bits are used for other materials, like cardboard and such. That was when we visited a plant in grade school tho, so in 20 years alot has changed probably.

@@DarkAngelEU it hasn’t much from what I can see, the majority of this material ends up getting burnt….end of life was not as demonstrated in this video part of the design. Good at increasing shelf life (for manufacturers and retailers), less good for the environment. Multi layer packaging is a complete nightmare for recycling.

before packaging, that milk treating with high temperature (UHT) to kill all microorganism inside. in filling machine, paper has sterilized by vapourized hydrogen peroxyde (H2O2), UV or Electron Beam and drying with blowing overpressure heated air before touch the milk. I have see Tetra pak and SIG combibloc filling machine, don't know who is better, higest speed can reach 24000 package per hour both of them

Terrible for recycling and as demonstrated in the video Tetra Pak serves many purposes although it’s end of life wasn’t considered as part of its original design process.
