Hello. Nice channel. Straight to the point easy to follow. I want to put another engine into my 2004 vivaro. Maybe a BMW or VXR engine. How do I know if it will fit or be compatible with the rest of the van? Got any tips? I'm no cars expert but I've done a few jobs like change turbo and starter motor on this van and would like to put another engine in just for fun but don't know where to start
Hi thanks for the great feedback😀 means alot,now this sounds like fun and craziness all in one.1st thing I would do is measure a vxr engine and engine bay then the vivaro to see what modifications will be needed to get the lump in. Then u will have to have the engine and gearbox mounts fabricated as well as the driveshafts to fit the hubs.vauxhall vxr will be easier as the BMW is rear will drive and has the engine and gearbox the otherway, so u would have to mess about making a gearbox and axle tunnel for it.hope this helps.i don't think I've seen it done on a vivaro only a Ford transit with a BMW engine in it.you should video it would be awesome,good luck

Hi oh no i had thwt happened to mine years ago. yes you can but you would have to remove the top engine mount and support it from underneath but it can be done thanks for asking 😁
Brill video .have a question .have u co.e across an issue .I can bump.start my traffic. 2010 dci 115. Mobilizer does not come on .everything works fine apart from.startermotor. is this the reason why my light don't work .n starter issue .thanks for any Info ..
Thanks for Watching It sounds like it's the starter motor. If you can bump it then it's not anything to do with the immobiliser as that normaly stops fuel going to the engine. I would 1st look at that check that your getting power to the starter motor cables. Hope that helps please let me no how you get on 👍👍👍
@@flippingcarsrepairs I've ordered 1 .n will change it ..k the ignition barrel is very loose.little screw popped back in .power is there to.starter ..thanks .I really do appreciate 🙏. At least ile shouldn't get any issues with earth ground s yeh I've cleaned connections..Will let u know 4 sure 😉
@@flippingcarsrepairs .yes it was startermotir . Thanks 👍 went OK. Thanks to use .however still have no imbolizer light ..hopefully its to do with side loading door don't open central locking ..but can manual from inside ..maybe it's that ..thankyou .

Can you remove cylinder head with engine in van. I got bent valves (cambelt snapped).Best regards from the Wirral.

I don't see why not it would be worth looking into as it's the same shell just few different body parts have changed
