Thank you for your video. I followed your video and was able to replace my cooler seals in about 45 minutes. After replacing the seals and letting the engine run while looking for leaks ensuring that there were none I then did an oil change. It wasn’t a bad job at all and your video was very helpful. Thanks again. BTW my rig is a 2004 Pathfinder automatic 4x4.
@ l pulled my pathfinder into the garage today to recheck the oil cooler o ring replacement l did last Friday after work and I’m super happy to report the oil leak is gone. Now my only problem is, living in northern Minnesota, so is my automatic rust proofing. 😜 Thanks again. My daughter has a 04 pathfinder and last winter l was fixing the usual issues they have and as l was working on it l became very impressed with how easy they are to work on. So I started looking for one for myself. I found a 04 pathfinder that had spent most of its life in California so it’s super clean. It had 209,000 miles on it then (2/24) but had the usual issues that l quickly fixed. I paid $2,000.00 for it and love it. It’s got 219,000 miles on now but I drive it every day. Its blue, and that’s a rare color for the pathfinder I understand.
I'm replacing the same seal on my pathfinder i found the oil cooler gasket but not the gasket that's on the plug do you have a part number for the gasket that's on the bolt
Did you have trouble getting the gasket to sit inside the groove? The one i bought seems too big. I get one side in the groove and the other side pops out.
Bro thanks a lot for this video I just found out mine is leaking from the same spot 😅
@@Therey1898 yup. Common on these

@waynejohnson3388 yes I have noticed they are very easy to work on. Maybe I'll get my hands on another one also

@jluisl09 hey sorry no part # currently
Jack stands? Anyways I plan on replacing the oil cooler o ring this weekend, thanks for the video
Should I drain the oil completely before? Or will I be ok to just unbolt the 17mm and let what ever little oil pour out?
You don't have to drain it. Just have something ready in case more oil than expected comes out

I don't recall having that problem
