I have my chickens do the same thing with fermented wheat and carbon flooring in the coop and run. Of course, I got that idea from you years ago when I first read an article about the Polyface Farm in the early 2000's. As I recall you referred to the pigs as "Pigerators" (SP?). Thank you for sharing this valuable information with the world.

    Best video ever!!!
I have been fight through my dry, alkaline soil. I put natural amendments on it but it only works for a small amount of time.
This video was a game changer.

I like the model! But if you would unroll bails of hay in the winter on the field in combination with rotational grazing in the winter, would you get the same outcome?

I would have loved to see how you spread it in the fields... You kinda glossed over it.
I bet those are fun days. :)

What else is done with the cows all winter? I know they don’t stand in place in the hay barn the whole time? If you give them a small lot attached to the hay barn won’t they turn it into a mud lot and risk blackleg etc? This looks like a great idea but I don’t know how to apply it correctly

How are you spreading this in the fields?

Typically with a manure spreader, but you can scale this down of course.
