Please thank Pat Brown for the segment on polarized lighting. I've just 3D printed a make-shift adapters for my macro setup and the light and it works a treat (have spent half an hour and $0)! Can't wait to try it on my tiny meteorite slices. I literally can't believe I haven't tried this trick before.
@@TopherspinMeteorites Well, it certainly made my day 😃 I would consider myself somewhat experienced macro photographer and it's definitelly not every day I learn a new technique. BTW, did you get my email with some of my macro meteorite photos for a possible inclusion in some future meetup? Would love to hear your feedback. Don't worry, they are classified and published meteorites. Not trolling with meteowrongs 😃

Haha, well up to load the woodstove and just couldnt help myself to listen in to everyone getting a good laugh at my expense lol. Yes my wife is gloating, but ill take it!! So i will be back out to the location of these stones, hoping to 4x4 my truck out there these time, and i wont be whining about pulling my wifes rocks this time! I will document it per tophers instructions. We will get it done. The field this rock was found is a large flat valley. The stones appeared to be spread out over maybe a 200 yard area but i will be searching beyond that this time. This potential strewn field is 36 miles almost due southeast of sunvalley (holbrook area) off of hwy 180 a few miles. I have worked for the property owner (80 acres) and he has given his blessing to search away. He is also contacting the neighbor to the east, who he knows to see if we can have there permission to search there 40 acre lot as well. We will see!! Thinking i better bring my wife lol. Thanks for the shout out man, but i mean those rocks werent THAT bad haha ok maybe a little....
@@TopherspinMeteorites Awesome! I would welcome it! More eyes = more meteorites! I have my doubts on a couple but man the big one of the bunch has a good look.
