@@zyfo4794 That's no excuse if he is in the USA studying to be a Doctor he should learn the language properly otherwise he looks ignorant or lazy and I'm sorry but he couldn't be my Doctor if he can't even spell the simplest words or know how to use them.
Just got an email that you will be at my school this week (Ross), but I’m really disappointed that I’m already done with basic sciences because I would’ve been there!!! I hope you will be able to vlog it! But thanks for all the advice via RUclips 😊
I was admitted to the hospital with an abscess on my right lung back in 2006. I had no insurance at the time and when the bill came for the room alone (I was in the hospital for 2 weeks approx.) I literally cried. That bill cost more than my entire house!!! Many social workers came to my room prior to my being discharged but they never actually told me there was a way out for me financially. The bill for the room alone (not including the Doctors, nurses, techs, medication etc) was $80,000!!!! Like I said I literally cried. I filed bankruptcy thinking I had no other choice. I wish I had known that there were other options.
your straight up a bad ass my guy. I love you man, if i had a chance to do surgery rotations it would be definitely with you. A badass surgeon I love that Lol l. keep up the good work Doc
A lot of doctors are jumping on board the bandwagon and trying to be a RUclips doctor, but you’re definitely my favourite doctor on RUclips ever, you keep shit real! Keep it up. (3rd year medical student)
Actually know an pediatic orthopedic surgeon here in Mexico City. He was one of my attending doctors when I was in my 5th semester or 3rd year first semester. I still visit the orthopedic department quite frequently when possible.
Please react to the first episode of Grey's Anatomy, I would like to know of that style of "pimping" is accurate? I know you spoke about that surgeon who overreacted, when you didn't cut exactly down the line is it always like that?
Code black was the most realistic. Nurse jackie wasn't bad, didn't really focus on the medicine though. House and Grey's anatomy are ludicrous, new amsterdam is overly dramatic, the good doctor is an interesting take on doctors and autism (or high functioning aspergers, whichever it is).
That happen to me last week, I was waiting for my class to start inside the hospital and our classroom power went out to the point the hospital had get maintenance to fix it.
Hey Buck, I saw your video on struggling with your GPA in college. I am in a similar situation. I am not pre-med or anything. I am instead in a pilot training program that my school offers, and hope to fly for the Navy after graduation. I have found civilian flight training pretty difficult. It is a crap ton of wrote memorization, and I honestly have no idea how to study it. I have already failed one check ride, and struggle with feelings of inadequacy as I progress. What are some methods you used as a medical student to memorize a lot of the dry material you had to read? -Morgan W
The Mr. bit, you really get into trouble in the hospital such as, my buddy called the chemist " Medical doctor." She called him out on it flat "Im a chemist. Thank you very much!"
Hello Dr Parker talking about goggles or glasses to protect you before you do any surgical procedure is very good cause safety always comes first but working in a thirl world country where sometimes they lack reassources we have to do the procedure without googles... im glad you emphasized you and keep the good work colleague.
Hey Dr. Buck, I just recently found your videos. I have a similar story to yours and am rebuilding my academics. I am looking to pursue either physical therapy or medical school as I am interested in orthopedics and everything musculoskeletal. As I am researching what medical school is and the milestone events throughout I can't seem to find an answer to this one questions. If you do not match to the residency of choice does that mean that your door is closed to that specialty? It seems very hard to believe that you would go through 4 rigorous years of medical school just to find yourself in a situation where your having to specialize in a less than passionate field of medicine. If this is a really dumb question I apologize, I just relate to you on feeling "dumb" do to believing the grades I received instead of demonstrating excellent study habits as I do now this time around. Thanks for any answers or guidance.
Oh my gosh I am claustrophobic to a certain degree and if I got stuck in an elevator I'd be sent to the ER because I'd have a full on panic attack! Nurse Practitioners and PAs are awesome! At least the ones I've seen. My pain specialist is a PA and the Gastro specialist I see is a APRN. Both take good care of me.
Apples and oranges. Dr Mike is squeaky clean and has a whole production team behind his channel. He’s more of a media personality. Dr Buck is cool too but not same type of audience. I really don’t mind cursing in general but I feel like maybe he uses it a little too much. Less is more, just more professional and more credible with an f bomb for emphasis, not just because.
Hi Dr. Parker! Do you know Dr. Charlie Teo? He's this Australian neurosurgeon who operates on tumours that are deemed inoperable. He has gotten a lot of flack from the medical community, especially fellow surgeons, for going against their opinions and making them look bad. He's an absolutely phenomenal doctor.
i like this show too although one time i was watching and they forgot to put the pericardium into their dummy that they use for feeling they showed the cardiac surgeon open the chest and it went sternum, completely exposed heart :)
The Right Ventricle is the most anterior part of the heart and most likely to be hit if stabbed in the sternum. Also, the nerves on either side of the pericardium are the pericardiophrenics. The help control the diaphragm which is why you don't hit them. The Vagal trunks are on the anterior and posterior esophagus. Also, pretty poor form to confront a patient with an accusation like that in front of other people like family. This show is somewhat confusing, but ok. Looks like they at least have a medical professional on the writing staff for these cases.
You said you do trauma surgeries as well as general? I'm interested in becoming a trauma surgeon at the moment im in 11th grade. If you can type back that'd be amazing I can definitely use someone too talk too.
In the USA aren't surgeons referred to as Mr at all? Over here and in the UK you become a dr but when you train as a surgeon and are a qulified surgeon, you then become a Mr again, although it seems they are trying to scrap that now so that everyone is Dr regardless of whether youre a surgeon or not. I didn't hear that nurse (or whoever) properly but maybe if she was new there and Australian or English, since he was a surgeon, thats why she called him Mr.
The scrub tech typically sets up all the sterile instruments etc. They gown themselves using sterile technique. There is always someone to tie up the back of the gown though that isn't sterile.
Yeah getting a page in the middle of sex really really SUCKS, even more when you're about to get the "cramp" and then go to see the patient with blue balls
Lol, I've done paper charting it is way faster. Don't have to open up a bunch of different screens with different passwords then click into fifty different sections. Take the paper chart tick the boxes, notate, and done.
Be like Mike they say.... Nah, Imma be like Buck.
All the Dr. Mike bashing in the comments 🙄 they’re both different and interesting in their own ways.
Imma need you and Doctor Mike to collab asap
Yes that would be a dream come true!😃
I don't think Dr buck would ever think about that,,, dr mike's forte isn't really Dr buck's cup of tea I feel :D , thats my opinion only .. ;)
and we can relate to Dr Buck more than the other just a "pretty face D.O. "
Man if your name isn’t the most typical dr Patel name ever, have you even doctored?
Naaaah. Dr B’s good on his own lol.
Love this but can you please turn up the volume of the series.I cant hear a thing

Pre-med? With that grammar? Haha good joke
Surgery is my first rotation, so these tips will come in handy. Thanks!
You should watch the episode where the person in charge of finances somehow orders an unnecessary MRI to make $$$.
Lots of good advice here for new med students/ residents. Great reaction video Dr Buck.

Nice. You should do Good Doctor too
tip: use the actual audio of the show, not the ''recorderd from your screen'' audio.
use headphones

I wish he would upload more.
When you said “In this day and age” my first thought was that I wanted to see you review ‘The Knick’
I never met a doctor whose cursing puts truck drivers to shame!
Most people in the medical field have fowel mouths lol
cory vallad foul*
"the good doctor" please.
lol love the comment you made at the end of the video about Dr. Mike, didn't expect it at all
This was so cool. Do the Good Doctor next please
Next time make the audio of the show louder
I was RN for 35 years and love this series. I have little goofs but for the most part they are authentic
Please do The Good Doctor next😭😭
Much love and respect! :D

You should watch an episode of the Night Shift or Code Black!!
Can you do doctors and their residency, pay check and lifestyle plz.. getting into med school this month
I lost it when the NP confronted the patient for hacking the hospital. Dr. Bucks face😂
Is it OK to say that I’m in love with this type of RUclips videos/series, and that I’m in love with Dr. Buck?!
😝😄😊🤩
I watch Dr. Parker's videos in my study breaks and I have to start rationing because otherwise I'm gonna run out of videos very soon :((
“Why did she call him mister? I would SLAP that bitch” 😂 😂 😂
Please react to greys anatomy

“I’d slap that bitch” lmao you’re hilarious
The good doctor!
The power shortage was randolph bells fault really, he would not shut down the power to upgrade security then he fires the IT guy WTF?
E.R. was the best medical drama, at least until Carter failed out of surgery. These newer shows are garbage.
House was the best by far
Code black was the most realistic. Nurse jackie wasn't bad, didn't really focus on the medicine though.
House and Grey's anatomy are ludicrous, new amsterdam is overly dramatic, the good doctor is an interesting take on doctors and autism (or high functioning aspergers, whichever it is).
Your face on the thumbnail is priceless LoL
*Awesome video Dr. Buck!*
you need to do Scrubs that show is amazing
Dr Buck you are the best
Dr. Mike reads from a script he/producers write before they shoot. You can tell easily Buck doesn't go off a script at all.
The Good Doctor or House reaction please!!!
Tim Eversole yes !
That happen to me last week, I was waiting for my class to start inside the hospital and our classroom power went out to the point the hospital had get maintenance to fix it.
Dr. Buck👨⚕️
You are totally Awesome 🕺 talking about this episode of The Resident Tv show 📺🎬📽💙
How about Grey's Anatomy TV Show?🎬📽📺🎞👨⚕️
My God, you've practically memorized 'Top Knife', huh?? 💪😂
Gotta love this surgeon
Hi Dr. Buck, as always your videos are inspiring and motivating. Do you think you can do videos on handling burning out? Thanks!

4th intercostal space parasternal line is usually right ventricle I think that’s what dr buck meant

Hey buck, have you read the vanishing physician scientist? I wonder what do you think about that
Watch the first episode, of the first season, especially the first scene.
You just went full Mike. You never go full Mike
Hey Dr. Buck, what are your opinions on custom scrub hats?
Great video man, I watch the resident. Have you done review on The Good Doctor? If not, you should do one
omg, I love your reactions
You're better than mike.
Kruk Digata 100%
He's definitely the opposite
I like dr mike but I have to agree 😂
Mike uses prewritten scripts before he shoots. He's also obnoxious AF.

Great job! Very entertaining
The Good Doctor
You should've watched the pilot episode
Great show. The Prick is kinda mean at first but great with patients and a great diagnotician. The CEO gets better...
When you were a Resident did you have access to videotaped procedures, or are not all procedures videotaped?
some yes some no
Another great reaction, keep it up!
Which episode is this???
the good doctor

This guy has the two things I like most.......cussing and medicine
Watch season 1 episode 1 of The Resident!
You should react to "The Good Doctor" about a surgeon who is an autistic savant

Cool video Doc.
You and Dr Mike need to react to one of these together! #dreamteam
Great video, very informative and funny.

But sometimes, Do they have scrub techs to help with a few things like tying masks?
You go into Dr. mode on your face. Very serious side. Hadn't seen it until now but its definitely there. 👍🏻👊🏻
Who gowns the assistants? Please make more videos.
adjovi92 I dont work in OR but there is usually a ‘circulating’ nurse who’s not sterile... so i would assume that nurse would.
The scrub tech typically sets up all the sterile instruments etc. They gown themselves using sterile technique. There is always someone to tie up the back of the gown though that isn't sterile.
Is there any way I can contact you? I'm trying to get ideas for schooling. Yah I know I'm only a sophomore in highschool but yah.
It's my fav TV serie 😊😊😊 thanks 👍
Yeah getting a page in the middle of sex really really SUCKS, even more when you're about to get the "cramp" and then go to see the patient with blue balls
Do Greys Anatomy!!
